probably not by shop but by laptop maker...

i know OCZ has some semi-configed laptops... u ve to get ur own CPU, RAM, HDD and OS... all others are assembled... but spec is pretty old as they are still using HD3870 and HD3670...

Well, there is one shop at my place that clone laptop..you usually gives the spec to them and they will see if they can assemble the laptop according to configuration..one thing would be the problem is the chasis for the laptop, that one usually take time to built

@astria, ur previous s41 changed how many times mobo dy?
now is 3rd for me... n i duno what can i do, i wondering is there any problem again. as i know, so far the longer period i ca use after replacement for mobo is 1 year. previously is 4 mth and 6 mths.
and im sick of it. why they don replace a Problem-less mobo for us? and make us keep returning for the same issue. everytime i complaint but they still giving the same answer, saying that its brand new mobo now now now...

yesterday, my fren asus laptop with 84m GPU, this problem come to him, and he went to asus centre, but asus ignore this. and need a replacement charge for that...

compare to asus, benq service is better, the way they talk and treat customer is better than asus.

Well, this is not their fault actually..its Nvidia faults as we here always say it is..but the company must take care of their customers so giving a FOC replacement would be good enough (like BenQ SC & Dell did )...

Well, you can always try and talk to them about changing the MOBO to S42 MOBO, like someone here did and now his S41.5 running with no problem

but replace for s42 mobo, issit the GPU will change ? or jz the baord changed. the CPU n GPU remain.?

If you managed to get it change to S42 mobo, the GPU will be upgrade to 9600M GT

The problem is not on the mobo but rather on the GPU being used 8600M...

u know, it really disturb my project ongoing. now everytime i do, i hav to save it in ext HDD.

Well, every other laptop that using 8600M/8400M is facing the same problem...one big fault from Nvidia ...

Try and talk with the BenQ SC, maybe they can be kind enough to change the mobo, and you can get 9600M GT
