A word of thanks and gratitude to all who contributed to this thread.
Based on the recommendations, I ordered Celine Dion in Las Vegas, Il Divo in Barcelona and Andrea Bocelli in Tuscany.
The BD arrived yesterday afternoon ( lag time 9 days).
Watched Il Divo and Celine Dion at one strectch last night and my wife and I were both more than pleased....
May I ask, do you all watch in stereo or use the 5.1 option?
I switched to stereo for the Celine Dion concert as the side surround was 'leaking' some high freq music that was rather distracting.

I normally use the 5.1 option.

I played the Celine Dion concert before, didn't notice anything unusual coming from the surround speakers.

Received my copy of Bon Jovi: Live At Madison Square Garden this morning. Top notch AQ and PQ like all recent concerts.

The standout performance have to be the song I'll Be There For You, sung by Richie Sambora. Simply amazing. Enjoyed it more than the version sung by John Francis Bongiovi, Jr. Prolly listened to it 4-5 times already today while surfing laugh.gif

Watch Andrea Bocelli Live in Tuscany last night

beautiful concert...wonderful voice, even though I don't understand Italian, I feel peace and harmony when I close my eyes and listen.....I just want to go on untill my two "fa kuat loong" starts making noise sweat.gif

only complaint is the 5.1LPCM, the singer's voice are from L/R and not center speaker sad.gif

If ur L/R are setup up correctly, it shd seem like the voice is coming from the centre. Stereo imaging is under rated. In good stereo setups, the centre imaging is taken well taken care.

If u were not getting the vocals from the centres, u might need to move ur L/Rs about until u get good imaging. This is a good test disc to see if ur stereo imaging is correct.

In a lot of the good setups, u will find that they try their best to do away with the centre speaker. The reason is if the centre speaker does not blend in well (due to the display location, and the height being different, as well as the drivers in some cases) it spoils the imaging by pulling the vocals every so slightly. So L/R setup is very important, especially when listening to stereo sources.

On another note, spent some time re-listening Chris Botti: Live (With Orchestra and Special Guests) last night. Very good AQ, some good double bass work there as well. My best track however, was Message in a Bottle (in the extras). Need to get the Police Certifiable Blu Ray now!
