QUOTE(mpyw @ Jan 26 2010, 08:38 AM) The HD audio is darn good Btw, I still finds that CD : Live in Vegas aint as excellent. The vocal still not as fwd sounding as I want it to be. In comparison, CD's vocal sounds better in DF & Friends. Robbie Williams : Live At Albert is quite good. |

I'd received my MJ : This Is It. Unable to test it as I am not well. Ears are like muffled due to fever... sigh...

Watched about an hour of MJ's This Is It. The music is very good. His voice may be a bit off as pointed out by arj but not piercing though. I must say that he was a great entertainer if not the greatest of our time.
Tmw, going to try out Police. |

The AQ in Police Certifiable is very good. Sting's vocal has 'matured' a lot since Police days. Still a very entertaining concert!
Will watch George Michael - Live In London today. |

I have this too. The center has sound (DTS HD MA) but quite low. The AQ not as I wished as it sounds muffled whenever Jacky uses the microphone to sing. The AQ improves a bit when he uses the mic. I think the recording is not top notch.

QUOTE(mpyw @ Mar 12 2010, 09:22 AM) Funky concert....but he appear too gay to me in that concert...every moves shows that he is gay but the concert are good though, PQ/AQ all very good, the stage design very un-ordinary too..... QUOTE Listened to MJ's This Is It again last nite.. Didnt on de pj, jus listened thru de spkrs.. on de song The way u make me feel - the drums were everywhere ie one beat per spkr n it went all round 5 channels.. The surr mix is indeed very good. I cranked at loud vol (-12dB) On most songs the mixing is surr heaven utilising full range sound frm all spkrs D |

QUOTE(ronaldjoe @ Mar 20 2010, 09:11 AM) I whack DTS-MA 5.1 straight as preferred audio output. I am not a Tsai Chin fan but it sounds good to me, it's more for my parents in law. Just checked Tsai Chin got DTS-MA 6.1. This is something that personally I don't like. The mixing of DTS MA + ES make the back stage sound weird in 7.1. So far the best HK concert vocal I have, it's from Hins Cheung live in GZ. It got DTS-MA 7.1, making the staging sound very full. Anyway, the center loses out to his mighty RC-64 as it is ablve to provide a wider staging. Talking abt concert, haven't able to watch George Michael Live In London. Busy nowadays |

QUOTE(ronaldjoe @ Mar 20 2010, 11:29 PM) Taukeh, your room is more controlled with LENRD. piaseh.... I need to learn from you too. For the record, I ain't sifu. I am still learning by listening to more setup especially elite systems. Need to get my ears 'well' trained.Still got lots of things to learn from you. RC64 is still peasant's stuff compared to other elite set up around. Still a lot of room for improvement. Will be having the LENRD up in front and those acoustic panels covering the front corners. It would be LENRD on top corner and 2' x 8' panel on each corner. RC-64 is no child's play |

Hopefully, boss. Tqvm for the encouragement
Tested D Foster BD with DSX Wide. Amazingly wide soundstaging as if I am in the concert hall itself |

QUOTE(ronaldjoe @ Mar 21 2010, 10:57 PM) Okie boss. Next time when I got time. I come kacau you again. Wifey grumbled as I spent my Saturday with you. LOL. Done the wrong pairing for DSX. The is some degree of mismatch. I will switch the MBS-01 to be Front Wide and the SCS-01(M) to be surround. All of a sudden, itching for an upgrade in avr. Maybe hold on for a little longer to see how 3D tech and HDMI 1.4 affects the new line up 11.2 would be ideal even though the room is not a big one. Front, center, Front Height, Front Wide, Surround, rear surround, 2 subwoofers. Will try This Is It, Michael Buble and Police concert during this week. |
