Other than Celine Dion and David Foster, "Quincy Jones' 75th birthday celebration - live at Montreux 2008" also surprisingly good to me.

Antionio Forcione Quartet is pretty good. 1080i, DTSHDMA. The Killers as well.

No Tsai Chin?  Still waiting for someone to sell me a used unit.  Also interested in Andrea Bocelli:Live in Tuscany, hello anyone?  tongue.gif

Add to your list Michael Buih-Buih - not bad if you like copycat light jazz  biggrin.gif  (seriously, its good).

Bocelli is very good. AQ is good, centre channel is rarely used. its more of a 4.1 setup although it is 5.1 PCM. The PQ is on the soft side but the scenery is breathtaking. The concert is very good if u r into Bocelli.

The Killers Live at the Royal ALbert Hall is definitely reference quality! was pleasantly surprized!

The Killers is pretty good. SQ and PQ stellar. However, I'm not sure how many people like this kind of music.

Watch Andrea Bocelli Live in Tuscany last night

beautiful concert...wonderful voice, even though I don't understand Italian, I feel peace and harmony when I close my eyes and listen.....I just want to go on untill my two "fa kuat loong" starts making noise sweat.gif

only complaint is the 5.1LPCM, the singer's voice are from L/R and not center speaker sad.gif
*
If ur L/R are setup up correctly, it shd seem like the voice is coming from the centre. Stereo imaging is under rated. In good stereo setups, the centre imaging is taken well taken care.

If u were not getting the vocals from the centres, u might need to move ur L/Rs about until u get good imaging. This is a good test disc to see if ur stereo imaging is correct.

In a lot of the good setups, u will find that they try their best to do away with the centre speaker. The reason is if the centre speaker does not blend in well (due to the display location, and the height being different, as well as the drivers in some cases) it spoils the imaging by pulling the vocals every so slightly. So L/R setup is very important, especially when listening to stereo sources.

On another note, spent some time re-listening Chris Botti: Live (With Orchestra and Special Guests) last night. Very good AQ, some good double bass work there as well. My best track however, was Message in a Bottle (in the extras). Need to get the Police Certifiable Blu Ray now!

I was sitting off centered last night...kids are reading on the couch. I still can feel the sound came from center but due to my sitting place....a bit off
when sitting at center, the imaging is very good....

I would imagine that in ur setup it shd be pretty good.

Spend some time re-listening to John Mayer last night...

I have to say, the concert is really top notch. Being 1080p there is absolutely no artifacts. The AQ is also fantastic. With the SVS AS-EQ1 the bass is articulate and really very enjoyable. The accoustic session was the best for me. Though the blues trio session was also quite different. My favourite song was John Mayer's version of Free Fallin.

The Killers are good. It kinda reminds me of the kind of music I used to dig when I was in university. Stellar PQ and very good AQ. Check out the bass guitar riffs, its is very good, especially if ur sub is tuned right. Tight bass.

Check out the track called Shadowplay for some good bass riffs.
