CR and Vanilla DOW2 can be pretty much throw in the bin. CR and DoW2 is only good if you want to play the campaigns.

Steamworks has made the game so much better, without GFWL.

I never really have much problems with Sentinels. My large Terma army just eats it for breakfast.

I did say i want to change race, but i just dont feel like dumping Nids.

Patches everyday, because paranoid M$ isnt holding the patches back anymore.

To be honest, i think you are doing it all wrong. I can kill or at least scare it away with Termagaunts, where Guardians will eat Terma for breakfast. You need more Guardians. Maybe 2 squads will make a short work of it. Shuriken is useless against it. A range hero like Warp Spider will help a lot.

Or you are playing with someone who can kite very well.

IG is only powerful in T1 because of Sentinel and Catachan Devils. Guardsman dies so fast.

Tried to play IG, but failed miserably. It is not as easy as Relic claim to be.

The game runs whole lot better, as there is no GFWL causing NAT issue or players disconnect in the middle of the game. Not everyone could connect to the internet without router. GFWL cause a lot of trouble if you have a router.

Plus, Relic can spend more time and money in delivering new patches for bug fix and new content, as Valve dont really care about how often you patch your game. As oppose to GFWL that requires you to wait 2 weeks for a patch because M$ wants to go through the patch to ensure that the new patch will not cause any trouble with their precious system.

Most of my games rarely have anyone drop off halfway. And im playing a lot of 3v3. The multiplayer games run a heck lot more smoother due to better netcode and more engine optimisation.

The gameplay feels a lot more polished now, maybe due to the patches since CR. Retribution does feel like what DoW2 should be.

Im already out of the DoW1 cave, as Retribution feels like a true sequel of DoW1.

I'll still go back to DoW1, because i want the mod races.

There arent any melee IG units till T2, so i think it might work.

Sentinel dies very fast under concentrated fire.
