I had some items from the UK posted through Royal Mail on the 10th of April
It took so long to arrive..
Yesterday made some phone calls..
Turns out it was shipped out of the UK on the 15th..
Only yesterday morning arrive at KLIA
Today safely arrive on my doorstep after 26 days..
So is it Royal Mail, MAS KARGO, or Pos Malaysia to blame?
I need advice for my next buy from the UK
I need some info..
What is the best fastest and safest courier to get items from the UK if possible?
Is the best also the more expensive?
And what advice can anyone give me on what courier NOT TO USE?

No I didnt get the pre-order gift as well. I m going to make a big fuss on them as other ppl that have order even later than me got it..

firstly, i think it's just backlog from the volcano incident.
some of the parcels may have been stuck at various airports, and only slowly coming in.

the safest and most reliable would be using courier - UPS / DHL / FedEx.
another safe alternative would be to use royalmail's ISF (international-signed-for) service. it's just like normal mail but comes with tracking and have to be signed upon receipt. at least u can track the parcel just in case it goes missing.
i believe most of the couriers are reasonably reliable.

there was some complaints by narutokun83 on the delivery service.

For those of you guys who are complaining about your parcels not arriving since april....

It is because of the volcanic smoke issue from Iceland that is tampering the airline industry. A lot of flights got canceled and postponed due to this.

Same goes for Royal Mail overseas shipment.

So... If you guys want to know what happened.. give a call to Pos Malaysia KLIA branch. Here's the number:

03-87871122 ext 314 or ext 315

Tell the operator the tracking code used by Royal Mail UK and they will give you the local malaysian tracking code you can use to check at Pos Malaysia.

For you shipping out from the UK again, looks like there will be another volcanic ash cloud this week as reported in the papers. So be aware.
