if change already no engine check light you can just ignore it, otherwise if you are concern just tell them you change exhaust need retune engine, since you are paying money they must listen to you.

sentra 1.8 (2005) owner here. I am quite frustrated - my nissan sentra fuel consumption recently went crazy ( full tank - only reach 300km) where previously i can hit 400km no problem.

already sent my car to nissan authorised service centre once and tan cheong HQ twice...still cannot solve problem....change spark plugs, retune engine, clean valve service, etc..etc...still cannot fix this problem.

i wonder if there are any owners such as me facing the same problem? i have called tan cheong HQ and now awaiting 3rd service confirmation to fix the high consumption.

Fyi, my sis is driving same car which is sentra 1.8 year 2003 (even older than ur car)
Her car still maintain RM 0.13/km which means RM 60 for app. 450km. This is because she drive like a tortoise. Haha

yeah . same route, same traffic condition. thats why i am really really baffled as to why the FC suddenly went up so high!

my wifey nissan sentra also suddenly have high FC.
previously can clock near to 400km now it is usually high 200's km before refueling.
sigh! was thinking to send to SC for spark plugs too.

my one around 10.4km/l, around 380-400Km left quarter tank

B14 1999, just done top overhaul September 2011, just watch out the accelerator dun over press ur oil, just drive the car with smooth acceleration then u can save more fuel.
Major running 60% on highway, 40% city

top overhaul is what? change engine? how much is that?

i have the problem with the water cooling, the water keep leak but no sign on hose leakage, then check the car with the workshop and confirm the engine head gasket burned.
so i do the top overhaul. Grinding the Valve, engine head, piston
