My mum sentra N16 2001 now got a problem, 1.6Auto, 15xK KM.
after start the car, OverDrive light keep blink2 for few second,
then while driving, 1st gear to 2nd gear it jerks like wana push ahead..
was it a sensor failed? or gearbox problem?
can any sifu recommed a reputable workshop to fix this problem?
or can TC SC solve this probelm isntict of change the gearbox?

Added on November 26, 2011, 9:34 pmwhat the suitable/standard ATF oil for N16??
can we use proton SPIII or toyota type IV??
which 1 better?

Added on November 28, 2011, 11:23 pmQuoted by gearbox specialist in pandan indah:
1. recond Rm1200 (siap pasang & trade-in) warrant 1 month
2. refurbish Rm1800 (siap pasang) warranty 4 months
i think to opt 2 better.

1) Better let the TC to check it first, could be the malfunction of Throttle Position Sensor.
2) Use Nissan Matic D ATF

any sifu here know what's the charges like for TC or outsider?

in term of labour charges? spare part price? & after repair warranty period?

what's the gearbox price (siap pasang) compare with TC & outsider?

which one is the most reasonable of repair charge?

http://www.mudah.my/Nissan+Sentra+XE+1+6+A...01-12038250.htm
(sorry for putting this mudah link in here)

sorry for asking so much questions because i very interested on this model & newbie.

this model is called B15 or N15?

what's the main differences between these two?

any sifu have test drive before buy the used car before?

The running km meter can be reset? inside the link did mentioned the mileage is 90k-95k, it might be hardly believe.

In TC service centre, they will charge RM 60 for engine oil change and filter change + spots checking.
They charged RM 30 for oil filter where u can get at RM20 from spare parts shops.
Warranty period is 3 yrs or 100k km.

For g/box issue, no idea

The pix in that mudah site is the N16, TCM did not bring B15 or N15 into MY.

it the same model as my mum car,
it 11 years & seldom drive already at 15xk KM,
Hard to believe it a low mileage,
but mostly meter can be reset.
btw will send my mum car to TC for checking on SAT.

most of the foreman know how to fix nissan sentra, no point bringing it to TC.

and it is much cheaper if compared to tc, but make sure u know a reputable mechanic.

It is good to know there is a group of Nissan drivers in this forum, i am just a newbie for Nissan.

Just got my own first car, an used Nissan Sentra N16 2004, Auto Transmission

By the way, i noticed a jerk when the gear shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. It was like the car is pushing ahead with sudden acceleration. I have checked the ATF, it is still pink colour when i drip few droplets on a paper.

Do you guys experience it? any solution for that?

Thanks.
