Bahathir, you should've gotten this one:

http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/google...ins-shields.php

Lifetime warranty. Military grade, for sure never will scratch your phone. My brother uses on his iPhone. He changed it twice already coz it got dirty. And they replaced it for free.

Why not wait till the upcoming OTA update on N1 first before rooting? I am waiting for it too..and applying lots of mopiko on itchy hand to avoid rooting mine.
For the folks who is having hard time with the four "softbutton" at the botton, just touch the bottom of the button then slide upwards a little just enough to cover the button. Works for me everytime. The button actually register on the top half of the softbutton.

As for tethering, i am using PDANet. Works like a charm. Even able to do VPN (on Cisco concentrator)  from my notebook once the phone is bridged via USB. I am still waiting for a standalone Cisco VPN support on N1 though without having to use a notebook around.

Shaz,
Since you've rooted yours, do you still get the touchscreen issue at times (probably due to orientation confusion)?

absolutely..he has better explanation on the 4 button bottom

plus..PDAnet is awesome!!

Try this:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
DIGI Profile
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
APN: DiGi
MCC: 502
MNC: 16
username: mms
password: mms
MMSC: http://mms.digi.com.my/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 203.092.128.160
Type: default,mms

The rest of the field is blank.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Test if first..Im not using DiGi, so we can use trial and error smile.gif I think it may work though..
When there is an attachment, I get a "download" button, it will then save to my SD card..Thats how I do it..
Black is rosie on Sense UI for Hero..hehe..I miss that too..But only themes can change this for now..and yes, you have to root for themes application because you need to tweak the system files wink.gif
*
thanks shahz, may i ask, the Type: default, mms >>> this is without spacing on the same APN profile? or 2 words (default, mms)

BTW, 1 question.

If you applied the InvisibleSkin, then you cannot open the back cover anymore?

I am also using invisible shield.
But i am not satisfied with it as it does not cover the corners edge which need the most protection. I am not sure about others brand or it is very common for this kind of shield to not cover the edge.

The shield is not really that fitting...

Yup, I updated my N1 just now.

Baseband : 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2
Firmware : 2.1-update1
Kernel : 2.6.29-01117-g4bc62c2
Build : ERE27

Speedtest : About the same as before. Will try at several places.
Multitouch!!!! but, don't care, not that excited smile.gif normal 1finger zoom still available. I think Google is 'angry' and release the multitouch to N1, after Steve Job labeld Google as 'evil' smile.gif Now, Google is getting evil... don't play play/

Will be getting my nexus one this afternoon if all goes well

just a suggestion , someone should compile a general FAQ about the device in the first post like many other device specific threads to prevent the usual repetitive questions

Another nexus one user here reporting in,upgrading from my ADP1. Moved over my SIM and 16GB class 6, signed in ... and it's like moving to a bigger house with all my furniture still there.

No unboxing photo as mine was carried loose from singapore, with the accessories in a plastic bag 8-(. Hopefully can get the box later.

Google Sky Map... Please do try it... I love it. Just hold your N1 to the sky and you can see the map is moving based on location and our movements. This app use all the N1's capabilities, such as compass, accelerometer, GPS, .... Very Cool.

Added on February 3, 2010, 11:12 amTalking about cool, now the N1 with the updates runs cooler than before....
