QUOTE(xavier7 @ Feb 2 2010, 09:47 AM) guys, anyone of you using Digi 3G and MMS. aI'm trying to put both APNs in one APN profile, but the problem is its different APN name, one is DIGINET, the other's DIGIMMS. or does the phone allow to use both profiles at the same time, i cant seem to select both. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx DIGI Data - Internet xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx APN: diginet MCC: 502 MNC: 16 The rest of the field is blank. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ========= DIGI MMS ========= APN: digimms username: mms password: mms MMSC: http://mms.digi.com.my/servlets/mms MMS Proxy: 203.092.128.160 MCC: 502 MNC: 16 ========= Anyone, please? Thanks alot! I think for the MMS APN, set the APN Type as mms Example APN Type : mms This is what APN type used for Good Luck. Added on February 2, 2010, 12:07 pmFor the bottom's virtual buttons, actually it is a bit off to the top. In my case, I do a 'mini swipe' (bottom to up) . Why not wait till the upcoming OTA update on N1 first before rooting? I am waiting for it too..and applying lots of mopiko on itchy hand to avoid rooting mine.
For the folks who is having hard time with the four "softbutton" at the botton, just touch the bottom of the button then slide upwards a little just enough to cover the button. Works for me everytime. The button actually register on the top half of the softbutton. As for tethering, i am using PDANet. Works like a charm. Even able to do VPN (on Cisco concentrator) from my notebook once the phone is bridged via USB. I am still waiting for a standalone Cisco VPN support on N1 though without having to use a notebook around. Shaz, Since you've rooted yours, do you still get the touchscreen issue at times (probably due to orientation confusion)? |

QUOTE(xavier7 @ Feb 2 2010, 02:09 PM) ah ok, i think the mms size is the main issue here, thanks for the info bahathir! MMS size ? Nope, N1/Android will resize it to certain size before it can be send out as the MMS. Example, a 5MP picture with 1.2 MB filesize will be resize it automatically to around 200 kB.let me see how i can set it. For others who want to 'root' the N1.... Good Luck !!! Added on February 2, 2010, 3:39 pmNow, waiting for my screen protector(s) and epikcase from AskarPerang. The price is very reasonable. This post has been edited by bahathir: Feb 2 2010, 03:39 PM |

oreomambo, which touchscreen issues? I have never had touch screen issues really..Before this I had some problems because I was not used to the phone yet..If even a slightest part of skin touches the black border on the N1, you will have problems with the touch
Bahathir, screen protector? Seriously? lol Never used them on Hero too. Don't want to lose the sensitivity of the screen. Besides, if the phone is very well taken care of, its very less likely you will ever have a scratch |

I know the screen is scratch resistance. But to my fingers, it is a bit sticky and not qiite silky smooth. I hope the screen protector able to provide better gliding performance.

Added on February 2, 2010, 4:11 pmWell, its not really scratch resistant though..You can scratch it actually..To me, its just about the sensitivity of the touch..thats all.. This post has been edited by shahz: Feb 2 2010, 04:11 PM |

My palm touches the border and it gets confused. Hopefully some kind of rubber casing suit that we can purchase in the future that would protect the border better, perhaps something thicker on the side.Bahathir, screen protector? Yeah, sure, I'll post the screen protector's impression here.
FYI: I have skin which is a 'sticky' type. Believe or not,a frying pan, spoon, my gadgets with flat surface, ... can 'STICK' to my chest or my back I like the matte surface of my friends' iPhone. but, yeah, the display is a bit fussy. BTW, N1 screen also not bad, and I fount it is quite fingerprint resistant, and it is seem to be clear and clean at most of the time This post has been edited by bahathir: Feb 2 2010, 04:38 PM |
