That's a point to be considered. Anyone using DiGi having SMS stuck problem? So far, I have read another DiGi user who has NO SMS issue (http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/12/review-htc-hd2-videos.html). I have the "sense" that this SMS issue could be telco-SIM Card related.

Hi fellas,

I just bought my phone, joining the big family. laugh.gif

Aurora/RM2699/Sky Premier Enterprise/15-Jan-10/1.48.707.2(71294)WWE

Moving from Touch HD, HD2 has a lot of improvement over HD, very sensitive to touch and speedy. But the touch isn't that accurate (perhaps I'm still not use to it), I miss the stylus on HD already. Few things that bother me a lot, is the lack of haptic feedback in Opera, not knowing if I have 'click' on the link or not (going to install BSB tweak).

Guys, should I install the hotfix immediately? For the SMS fix, do I need to install both, or just the 2nd one will do? So far, I haven't had any sms problem yet.

Good. We've got:

3 X DiGi = No SMS issue
1 X Maxis = Intermittent SMS issue

It's quite a coincidence for me actually. I just changed from Maxis to Digi. Previously a Digi user, change to Maxis because I want to try Maxis 3G. Long story short, Maxis disappoint me, give me lousy reason for my problem.

My HD 2 i think is most eat battery monster very scary.....

initially my hd2 was also a battery hog. give it some time... now my battery can last a day and a half on average smile.gif but i hv an extra battery... just in case.

interestingly... i was a long time digi user but switched to maxis bcos digi doesnt hv good 3g coverage in seremban area. for the two weeks i was on digi, i had no sms problems whatsoever. when i switched tomaxis, i inoticed that my smss for 2 whole days were stuck in the outbox. ive tried virtually everything but the only working solution is by disabling htc messaging. was ready to throw the phone out the window but after disablinghtc messaging i fell back in love with the phone hehe

This is interesting. As of today, it is for sure DiGi users have no SMS issue.

While Maxis users face the issue "intermittently", can you guys check whether when you are connected to WCDMA constantly, can you make an outgoing call/send the SMS?

The test that I'm proposing is to play long youtube file in the background. Then, I call DiGi Careline number (which is free). The result is, I can make an outgoing call. But the Youtube is paused in the background. When I disconnect the call, the youtube continues from where it was left off.

I know that Celcom manages to handle this GSM-WCDMA auto-switch very well because I was ex-Celcom user previously having 3G package bolted to voice. Currently the same scenario for my DiGi line. I never use Maxis, so, not sure about Maxis network.

The hypothesis that I'm suggesting is that the Sense UI is constantly connected to the WCDMA and thus hinders the auto-switch capability to GSM. This may happen on certain networks.

Has anyone run NoData apps and face SMS issue? I think they should not face the SMS issue as WCDMA connection is totally disabled.

These are just assumptions and theory of what I can see leading to SMS problem. Feel free to comment.
