QUOTE(bangsar @ Jan 16 2010, 09:21 PM) hd2 got a problem...sometime it will hang if i didn't receive a call n let it ring untill it stop.. i can't on it...i got to take out the battery to restart it...(sometime i got no pin or a pen with me, so take out the battery to restart is easier) never have this issue. maybe some background applications make it unstable.Added on January 16, 2010, 9:30 pm QUOTE(faizpsp89 @ Jan 16 2010, 09:12 PM) wait until you try Dell mini 5This post has been edited by dgtel2: Jan 16 2010, 09:30 PM |

I'm afraid that's the only answer. but I didn't have any issue after installing the update. so far so good. I'm guessing a lot of users having issue is due to too many 3rd party applications that is not compatible with HTC Sense. so far I've installed many applications that do not ruin my unit; touch wood.

try to remove battery. wait for 5 minutes. insert back battery. reboot. and test camera. if doesn't work, try to remove SD card and test again.

no one is able to detect the cause of the sms issue. there are several ways to overcome the problem. the most famous one is to disable HTC Sense.

QUOTE(TehWateva @ Jan 17 2010, 11:28 AM) That's a point to be considered. Anyone using DiGi having SMS stuck problem? So far, I have read another DiGi user who has NO SMS issue (http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/12/review-htc-hd2-videos.html). I have the "sense" that this SMS issue could be telco-SIM Card related. |

This is interesting. As of today, it is for sure DiGi users have no SMS issue.
While Maxis users face the issue "intermittently", can you guys check whether when you are connected to WCDMA constantly, can you make an outgoing call/send the SMS? The test that I'm proposing is to play long youtube file in the background. Then, I call DiGi Careline number (which is free). The result is, I can make an outgoing call. But the Youtube is paused in the background. When I disconnect the call, the youtube continues from where it was left off. I know that Celcom manages to handle this GSM-WCDMA auto-switch very well because I was ex-Celcom user previously having 3G package bolted to voice. Currently the same scenario for my DiGi line. I never use Maxis, so, not sure about Maxis network. The hypothesis that I'm suggesting is that the Sense UI is constantly connected to the WCDMA and thus hinders the auto-switch capability to GSM. This may happen on certain networks. Has anyone run NoData apps and face SMS issue? I think they should not face the SMS issue as WCDMA connection is totally disabled. These are just assumptions and theory of what I can see leading to SMS problem. Feel free to comment. This post has been edited by dgtel2: Jan 17 2010, 05:20 PM |

Just to let you know that HTC Support website has withdrawn both SMS Patches. You could not find them anymore:
http://www.htc.com/sea/supportdownloadlist...&act=sd&cat=all Nevertheless, my unit is still rocking without any issue... This post has been edited by dgtel2: Jan 19 2010, 07:28 AM |

Apparently, a lot of SMS Patch 1 users got back their SMS stuck problem AFTER applying the second patch. This is what most XDA forumers reported.
Added on January 19, 2010, 9:30 am QUOTE(Aurora @ Jan 19 2010, 08:57 AM) Erm, wonder why they remove it? I was just about to download the 2nd hotfix. Heard it improve sms scrolling and more responsive. Anyone care to share? Here you go:http://depositfiles.com/files/u3n7gnlfx But my advice is if you do not have any SMS issue, don't install because it can't be un-installed. Nevertheless, the second patch sorts the conversation laggy-loading issue. This post has been edited by dgtel2: Jan 19 2010, 09:31 AM |

Yes. You will notice faster loading if you have like more than 50 conversations...

those samples are part of the stock ROM. That's why the 512MB ROM will be having balance less than 150MB even after hard reset. too many rubbish stuffs in the stock ROM.
