QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jan 21 2010, 09:36 PM) Guys, One thing here.I wanted to update to v40 but the updater says insufficient disc space. My memory card is darn empty so i guess its the phone memory. But i can't find anything to delete.. QUOTE(crixalisrox @ Jan 21 2010, 10:00 PM) thanks for answering my question .....downloading updates now ....135mb ...cant wait to use ovi map ... Does this explain my case of insufficient memory? But what the heck, max phone memory is 86MB long time dint update my 5800 adi ....and i saw lyn main page say it got free map ........then only i update ...lol Unless of course can download straight trough to the memory card, but then again, this is firmware update we're talking about This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jan 21 2010, 10:05 PM |

My verdict :
I still prefer garmin over the new ovi maps. Sure the new ovi maps is funky and all, but my main use is navigation, and ovi suggested a poor route for me. Secondly, the previous version of ovi maps have an auto-rotate feature when i'm on the move while using the "my location" mode. This auto-rotate will ensure that the map is oriented to the direction i'm moving. Sadly it's no more now and the map is fixed in a north south orientation. Boring...! |

this one red color cant be seen ........
You can also control a ‘priority’ rule to use the APN on Nokia 5800XM, Goto the Main Menu -> Tap Settings -> Tap Connectivity-> Tap Destinations -> Tap Internet -> preferred APN (eg. WiFi) -> Tap Options, Organise, and Change Priority -> Tap into the slot position you want (say, first) -> OK. |

My personal review for Ovi Map.
I donlod to my PC. Installed with Ovi Suite. Testing on the road on my way back. Pros: Cleaner map. Better voice guidance than Garmin. No lag. Update almost instantly. Latest map. Con: A bit difficult to find street. (maybe I am new to this) XM As what u mention Overall score 4/5 |
