Noted that the file size for NSU and FOTA update are vastly different. But how about the contents? The end results? Any different?

The map version changed during v31. Guess you'd need to download a new map into it, no mossy can get in nokia website. But why bother if you can use garmin?

Completed update. The KS IS abit laggy, imho. Not smooth. Overall nothing radical or earth-shattering. Didnt feel any faster response though... Is that i'm missing something due to the small update size that i got?

garmin is re-installable.

just restore your contacts and if garmin is not there, just re-install. simple.

wrong ..

The important thing is Garmin folder inside ure memory card..

If u have My Locations saved, click the spannar icon, -> MANAGE MY DATA click MANAGE button (Select Export GPX), this process will export all existing My Locations to GPX folder.

1. Move E:\Garmin to ure PC
2. Install Garmin Freshly
3. Configure Garmin in ure phone
4. After successful config the new Garmin, delete the new Garmin folder from memory card
5. Move back ure old Garmin from PC to fone .. Done !

To import back old My Locations saved, click the spannar icon, -> MANAGE MY DATA click MANAGE button (Select Import GPX), this process will import all previously saved My Locations to the application.

Done !

sorry for the late late reply..
it seem this thread pacing up already ever since v40 is out.

by the way, for the red dictionary database.

download this file, http://www.sendspace.com/file/7efej7

and then directly copy into your memory card.

err... pardon my ignorance, but copy to under which folder?

I have noticed another problem which was not resolved with v40. My phone's clock runs slow/delayed. Although i have set auto update to off, but it still happens. I need to reset my clock daily to match my wristwatch so i won't be late in waking up... Since alarm is based no the clock itself, so previous suggestion on using calendar to set alarm won't work too.... Any other way?

the clock auto update is updating the clock to the "Actual global time" and not following your own "wristwatch time" doh...  whistling.gif

My garmin mobile xt 50.0.60, still freeze when browse map... Does the update really clear all my old firmware or just update them... I suspect problem with my old firmware.

I did hard reset and formatted my card, updated through NSU.

My garmin is v50.0.50, using malfreemap full version 091221, previously in firmware v31, i do encounter hang issue while browsing, but not anymore in firmware v40.

But last nite i gatal go and replace the gmapsupp to lite version 091221, the hang problem came back. So weird, i tot lite version is supposed to be faster and less issue since not much polygons to render?

Anyhow i reverted to using the full version and no more hang. Weird, very weird. I know latest january version already came out from malfree, but so far version 091221 is my most stable and error free map, so i stick to this one first.

Hi just want to ask. Today i send my phone no Ipoh Nokia Center to repair light leakage and the 3.5mm jack got problem. Actually my sending in date was 18/1/10. And they told me 2 days.

After 2 days that is today i went and take my phone they say not ready. People phone from last week also not yet check. She call me wait 2 weeks.
As i know they are so rude and unpolite to me. Can i complain?

Tomorrow i take back my phone and going to kl to repair. Can tell me which one is good and can fix fast?Around how many days finish repairing?
