u might need the virtualkeyboard v0.94 as well to play. I think there're custome make key layout for the ngage, it's been discuss lots since the 5800 is purely touch UI and the ngage need physical key to control the game.

Agree to put all useful thing in FP as group then ppl will automatically go to FP to download "all in lum sum" but that will increase our TS workload alots

it's not a theme, it's just the theme effects. the default theme effect for our tube is just some frame transition and the apps loading red dot, but if we change it to other theme effects like dejavu u will see "lots" of fancy fancy effects on the transition as well as some falling particles (sakura, leaf, snow) on the background. all these effects do take your ram

fyi the most important patch for it to work would be the c2z patch (of coz ur phone need to be hacked as well lah) which u can't download directly from others cause it's kind like devices dependent (follow info in FP on the c2z patch creation)

"sigh" i think nothing much we can do here, if all the reply to those kindergarden Qs is "please refer to FP" i think sooner later the whole thread will be full of "PLEASE REFER TO THE FP!!" wording like banner on the road side

do a hard reset (camera app is firmware apps, and it's in Z/C drive so it's kind of impossible for it to get corrupted), if still cannot send for those NCC and they'll analyzing for u FOC... why bother to troubleshoot urself?

do some search already and found the ngage thingie not really a good matching for our tube, although there have some mod out there and some virtual keyboard custom mapping but it still most of the ngage game wont run smoothly or wont run at all on the tube.

If not mistaken the development for the 5800 ngage already undergoing? but if look at the publish date i don't think it will ever release

Added on January 12, 2010, 10:24 amitu bug senang bikin saja, just set multiple alarm mah can liao loh
fyi, the alarm will run 1~5 mins late from the set alarm, it's normal for the tube (up to firmware v31), remember set the alarm trigger on "workday" and not daily or 24hours coz i think those trigger sometime wont even ring the alarm if u set it wrongly (like u set it the night before tomorrow, it will make it look like not yet 24hours in the phone), for urgent alarm i will consider use the calendar notification as it will trigger sharp on time

ps: anyone notice the file creation date on the phone is not reflect on the time stamp that we set at our phone but refer to GMT+0, maybe this is the cause for that 24hours alarm bug??

for the safe side i recommend u to set multiple alarm and reminder on your work day, who know u too tired and accidently disable some

I need to get up at 7.30am, i set 2 alarms:

1. 7.00am trigger "Workdays" Snooze "13mins"
2. 7.15am trigger "Workdays" Snooze "13mins"

NEVER FAILED ME BEFORE (more then 3 month to be exact)

I do face some problem when the c2z patch activated, below are some of them that i'm aware of:

1. Default image browser will automatically shutdown when loading.
2. Garmin sometimes will hang during start up splash screen (i think it only will hang if Garmin try to ask for connection during startup).

some info on the theme effect, actually for all the transition effects, it will stay active (only if it's been display before) after the c2z patch been disable, only those image files (leaf/snow/sakura particles) can't be caching.

If C2Z patch causing any weird problem to your phone when activating and u want to have those beautiful theme effects, there're some theme effects that special make to EXCLUDE those particles effect so u can cache up the whole effects without the c2z active.

I think the c2z patch is actually force the phone to get required files from "identical" folder from C: instead of from Z:

That will make all those "firmware" mod able to be perform like the theme effects the phone default will read it from Z:\Resource\Effects folder and if we don't have the c2z patch active it mean although we copy the mod effects into the C:\Resource\Effects it won't be use by the phone because the phone won't read from the C:\ drive.

This all apply to firmware level patching like those 6 shortcut HS and Omnia HD HS modding. All these mods need the c2z to be ALWAYS activated.

Too bad so far the c2z patch do have it's limitations and agree as XM, we better deactivating when it's not needed.

use mykeylock choosing the api locking method wont trigger any vibration at all

currently i'm using the "double click red button" and lock through api function to lock the phone because for me the side locking slider kind of hard to access when using along with the gel type casing

Added on January 13, 2010, 11:33 ambro... i think your mem card might been corrupted

some suggestion for u to overcome this:

1. Do a Backup!!!
2. Connect your phone using mass storage and format the mem card (full format not quick format).
3. Hard Reset the phone.
4. Restore your backup (without the "setting" backup, only restore contact/msg/bookmark)
5. NEVER EVER connect through USB as MASS STORAGE, use mem card reader if u really have to hurry.
6. For the c2z patch MAKE SURE u DISABLE it before u delete anything from C:\ drive as when it activated it will treat the C:\ as Z:\ who know u might ending up deleted those important system files.

If you still having weird problem after this, then I might suggest u re-install the whole firmware through the NSU (yes just reinstall the v31).

Added on January 13, 2010, 11:49 amI think when we set the attribute to +s (system folder), if the phone media browser unable to list out those songs mean the system not "seeing" that folder at all which make the default file manager won't see that folder as well, maybe third party file manager will overcome this problem like the ActiveFile, X-Plore, Y-Browser where all these file manager not following the nokia default file manager rule (example not listing out those system folder like private/resource/sys no matter u enable/disable the open4all patch)
