yes...i cant even move d mouse when it hangs. d service centre said its windows prob n dey formatted it!!! wtf....i dun wana format my laptop la...many ppl said formating it will make it gets weaker bcz u r tearing a layer of skin out of it...hahahah... =(

Added on March 4, 2010, 1:30 pmwhen i sent 2 d service centre, d guy said i have 2 make d back ups myself. if u wan dem 2 back up 4 u, rm80 will b charged. so aft i checked 2 c whether anything important in d laptop, i din make any back ups bcz if i make d back ups my own, i have 2 take another number n wait 4 my turn when i go bek again. since its very very long 2 wait 4 my turn when i fist went in, i x wana waste my time waitng anymore, so i din do d back ups. =p

Added on March 4, 2010, 1:34 pmoh ya, i was attracted 2 asus K501D, K611C&K701C but den d sales gal said msia x have these models, only limited models r available in msia. i din get any of d asus series bcz except all dis above 3, others r with windows vista n i heard vista is x good. asus specs r quite good, if any of d 3 is in msia, i will definitely get it. =p

Does this as 4740g support 5.1 surround system? How if I wanna connect it with 5.1 speaker?

not sure with 4740... but 5740 has 3 analog outputs/inputs...maybe possible.

i'm using it now.. hurm overall nice.. but since i upgraded it to 4gb its kinda stuck sometimes.. maybe low quality product from stupid pc depot...

So.. is the hanging issue resolved? So basically this is a good buy right? Any other problems besides the hanging issue? Anybody regret buying this model so far? Would really like as much feedback cos i'm seriously considering getting one.

for the spec is not regret at all..huhu..for now my laptop does not occur hang problem anymore..but its really need to have extra care..
hope the problem does not occur..btw, i always updated my window.. i think its a great choice to buy it..i must admit everything is nice..huhu.. i have heard that this model price gonna be up high is that true?

I don't have the hang issue. But sometimes my fan sounds a bit loud.

i dun have any sound issue , the gfx card is nice too. i can play nfs shift nicely on abit laggy when i bump into others .. but the gfx was superb..

something to ask, the acer recovery disc is free or need to pay one?

Acer don't give free copy. Most likely you will need to send them your notebook to them for them to put back the recovery partition for a fee... then you can burn your own...

i jz got my laptop bek yesterday. i asked d guy whether updating d windows will help 2 solve d hanging prob n he said NO.
d guy taught me how 2 burn ur own recovery cd but i 4got ad...hahahha....

by default, the partition exist, using that partition u can burn the recovery disc, if it is missing it will not able to recover back to the factory setting, means you cant format to the original windows provided.
