well, formatting the laptop is just like any usual task you do with your notebook, its just hdd read/write. its not really the only factor that will spoil the notebook.
as for the windows, as long you got the key on the sticker below the notebook, you can use other windows cd and key in it to install. |

well, technically, you can install using your cd-key to other notebook/pc
but its illegal... the cd-key is tied to that particular notebook only, since its oem |

well, most difference would be the cpu,
as gpu wise, 310m is just rebranded from g210m, not much difference. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Feb 2 2010, 12:52 PM |

QUOTE(Tak3shi @ Feb 5 2010, 09:20 AM) Almost can't upgrade graphic card on notebook, except with some high-end model. No need to focus too much on the benchmark, its just a synthetic test, not really represent real-world performance. |

The Asus A52JR is a better performer in gaming, if that's is your major concern.
I doubt 4740 would overheat since its just using integrated intel gma inside.... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Feb 7 2010, 01:43 AM |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Feb 23 2010, 10:04 PM) hi,i quite blur with the graphic stuff can someone please help me? 310M would be better a bit.*NVIDIA® GeForce® 310M with 512 MB of dedicated DDR3 VRAM, supporting NVIDIA® CUDA™, PhysX™, PureVideo® HD technology, OpenEXR High Dynamic-Range (HDR) technology, Shader Model 4.0, Microsoft® DirectX® 10.1 AND ATI HD4330 512MB *which one is better? QUOTE(absan @ Feb 24 2010, 03:47 PM) i am thinking buying this model..is there any model / brand with this price that have the same spec?any suggestion plz. Closest would be Dell inspiron 1464@RM2599, with a bit weaker gpu, HD4330.Toshiba m500 for the same spec with the acer, around RM3.4k... Though Asus A42JR/A52JR@RM2699 or Acer 5740G@RM2999 would be better buy if your intention is for gaming... |

Acer don't give free copy. Most likely you will need to send them your notebook to them for them to put back the recovery partition for a fee... then you can burn your own...
