@gurus,
Yes but it's not available at launch time [outright purchases]

Also, Maxis has stated they will give 24 months warranty to those who's signing on a 24 month contract.

@mrhenree,
Just go to the landing page (http://maxis.com.my/personal/iphone4/landing.asp) and scroll to the bottom.  It's written there:

"Customers on a 24 month plan can now enjoy extended warranty up to 24 months with a new iPhone 4."
*
I'm thinking to change back to 12 months to reduce my commitment. Now i see some value here.

Mind to share with me is there apple care protection plan for iPhone in malaysia? how much is that? (I check http://store.apple.com/my/browse/home/applecare dont have. )

hi guys,

if maxis never send me any email to buy iphone on this thursday can i still go and buy?
*
i think you would still need to register first for this thursday event. if not then you can go purchase an iphone when it is released for public. how come you didnt register your interest for iPhone 4 in the first place?

Anyone can share why you opt for 12 or 24 months contract? Just want to do quick survey here. smile.gif

cuz some ppl cannot afford a new iphone every year? juz because iphone 5 (it wont be 4gs!) comes out doesnt mean every ip4 owner is going to get one tongue.gif

thx tinkerbel for pointing out the 2yr warranty. i missed that (didnt read the landing page, terus go to rate plans hahah). i never thought of getting the 2yr plan since i dun want to be tied for 2 years to a phone with 1 year warranty. if 2 years warranty, then it's a good deal! biggrin.gif

my option go to 24 month contract because :
~ i dono which plan to take after 1 year without the plan and is not worth to choose idata plan after 1 year unless the price lower down again la ... tongue.gif
~ 24 month warranty blush.gif
~ and all my previous phone im using also used around 2 year and more than 2 year ...

but my mindset can change easily if digi came out attractive price plan b4 24 sept tongue.gif haha

Just read across maxis side for the iValue plan. Just wonder, the xxx minutes Free local calls is point to maxis to maxis call or maxis to other operation?

im with crixalisrox biggrin.gif

after 1 year...if i take value plus 50 + mobile internet rm58... end up slightly more expensive after two years (rm4366 vs rm4150). this is assuming im paying rm115 monthly (ivalue 1 + 150 sms off-net, my average this year tongue.gif). so that's 1390+24*115 compared to 1690+12*115+12*(50+58). valueplus 30 is too little for me

my previous phone also 2 year plus hehe.

Across the board? Since the asterisk sign is not there.

Thanks for the clarification. Was thinking to update my value 50 to ivalue 1 once my contract ends next month. My bill was like 120-130 each month including the idata plan.

Managed to book a slot for the midnight launch
Sure will see a lot of forummers joining this happening event even it's at midnight biggrin.gif

I'm already an iphone 4 owner
The main purpose I book is to upgrade my current 3GS contract to the iphone 4 contract which double up the free data from 500MB to 1GB
as well as SMS and MMS
The down point is now I'll be tied to Maxis for another 12 months

I registered my interest just a few hours after the interest registration page is available...lol....And I don't get anything from them....From what I understand...Firstly, to obtain a chance in getting the email, we need to register ourselves as principal line owner...Secondly, they said that the event codes are given out randomly to all whom have registered their interest..
