I think even if just apply now, the new rate will be applied to you since you're really new. The process itself might take some time.

I figured out that as long as you are studying and in the 1st or 2nd year, you can apply for this package. I know this coz I just called TM 100 and talked with their CR. Burn RM1 coz I'm prepaid user.. =p
So Demonic, go and try your luck. This post has been edited by lowyard: Mar 25 2010, 10:07 PM |

I guess it's hard to create a very complete T&C since there's so many combinations of package before the existance of this one.
a) No. At least not me. Some people said it depends on which TMPoint you go. Mine is Serdang which I believe is less strict and friendly (my opinion). b) I am pretty sure it is a No. c) The quarantine applies for those of you who want to apply coolunipack with the current TM homeline/streamyx NOT registered under YOUR name. It needs the owner of the line to terminate first, then wait for 30 days of cool period/quarantine, and then only can apply for coolunipack with the form being signed by your college/university. d) From my understanding, it includes rental. e) I don't know. No clue. I just applied 8 days ago. |

QUOTE(soonlee33 @ Mar 25 2010, 09:47 PM) i apply ystday....today sum1 came install the modem. Yes, 'upgrade' is seriously time-killing coz it's instantaneous while terminating and re-applying back is time consuming.if u guys upgrade instead its so much faster. unlike terminating line it is time-killing! |

Why? I know it's weird but that is where you live. It doesn't mean you only can apply this plan at your place of study. What if the person is staying in 'asrama'? No one can install TM fixline at 'asrama'. In my case, maybe not as far as you but I'm studying at Malacca and my home is in Selangor and the application was successful.

Good question coz I totally don't know.. =p
I really hope bout the RM88 for 4Mbps though. And, Windows 7 preinstalled is suck from what I heard. Too many limitations. Install you own preferred OS. Ultimate for me. |

Lol.. I immediately apply for 4Mbps even before the price cut.. Regarding coolunipack price cut, I wanna say Thanks to TM. We always complain all the time but I found this is the great time to be grateful.

Get the form from TMPoint, get signed by your uni/college, submit the form. IF the line isn't under your name, you have to bring the owner of the line to terminate it first then wait 30 days cool down period/quarantine, then apply.

QUOTE(khd229 @ Mar 26 2010, 12:46 PM) Thanks lowyard. Anyways, are you sure about that? Point no 4 in UniPack FAQ clearly mentioned it's alright to apply using someone else TM Homeline as long as he give authorisation. Authorisation to terminate I think. Then reapply back under your name after 30 days.QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Mar 26 2010, 01:10 PM) So if I am applying for new user, do I need to bring the owner of the house (line) to TM too? My father's at Selangor and if I need to get the form signed by uni, then I need to apply here at Sabah. If your house doesn't have any line at the moment, then you can be considered as the owner of the new line when you subscribe. My friend too is in similar case like yours, he's in Sarawak. I told him to get the form from nearest TMPoint branches and get it signed so by the end of the semester, when he got back to semenanjung, he can submit them. Coz I am not too fond of the idead submitting the application form over there to get it installed over here. |

(Bleep!).. I still too have some confusion about all of this registration process. 1st of all, it is because I registered both phone line and Streamyx at the same time all under 1 name; Me. Then, last November, I terminated my phone line coz it adds up my bill another RM10 if I'm not mistaken and I don't use fixed line to call people anymore. I was using Streamyx Combo 1Mbps that time. They said I can't coz I'm still under 1 year contract. However, we figured out it doesn't apply to that 'additional side-dishes' so it got cut off immediately. So, in order for you guys to get it registered quickly, I can't really say whether they need the line or the Streamyx to be under your name... =(
