Time taken for your requested data to be received from the server.. This is essential mostly for online gaming to measure lagginess or in other word 'delay-ness'...

QUOTE(venicelim @ Apr 8 2010, 09:06 AM)
so now, the problem i left is
the netbook can connect to internet through wifi connection. But if i use LAN cable to connect the router to my house desktop, the internet is connected but the web browser cannot load webpage. It keeps pop-up message like bla bla bla offline...someting like that and ask me to connect dial up connection. Now wondering how to solve this, need to call up 100? but my netbook can connect and surf web, so it is not streamyx problem too right? so, install a new web browser on my desktop?

also, i applied 512kbps. At the connection status there, the speed is something like 54.0Mbps, is this correct?
@kenloh, if not mistaken, your application is something around my date also right? Wish you can receiv ur netbook soon! thumbup.gif

Is that Windows 7? Maybe you should disconnect wifi properly by turning off the switch. After that, connect the netbook directly.

When you applied for 512Kbps, expect the download speed to be around 50+ Kbps but no more than 130+ Kbps.. That 54Mbps is the connection speed between your computer to the router. The connection speed from your router to the world is still 512Kbps like you subscribed..

It's the product key of the version you wanted it to be. Let's say you want it to be a Windows 7 Home Premium, then, you have to enter the Home Premium product key. However, if you want a more fast and less cluttered windows, better if you just reformat them with the version you want. My 1 cent. And enjoy the netbook.

I have helped 2 of my friends to install Windows 7 Ultimate on their HP Mini 210 1073 that they got from this coolunipack deal and let me just say this, it's totally cool, awesome, fast and smooth. No harm trying them out for yourself and see whichever suits you. However you must download the touchpad, multi card reader and graphic driver from HP site coz the Windows Update won't find/install this for you which means, you won't be able to utilize the Aero. Oh btw, I disabled the multimedia function during boot coz they don't really like to use them. My 1 cent. Enjoy your netbook! rclxms.gif

May I know if after I apply for the Streamyx for my Homeline.
How long does it takes for the streamyx installation?

And the netbook application will be process at the same time?
Or need to wait for streamyx first then only wait the netbook to be processed?
*
After your Streamyx installation is successful, then your netbook will be processed. If they have problem to install your Stramyx, then your netbook will not be in process. The success of Streamyx installation is really important here.

The one you see at the shop is a different version. I've seen a better looking HP Mini 210 which have their screen like Apple macbook; Total screen glass surface and more space between keys.

You'll know your netbook is being processed when the technician come over to your house and install the new wireless modem router..

if it can support w7 ultimate, sure it can support w7 home premium.. too..

Clever lad. But I have to say my 7 Ultimate version has been vlited. I have removed speech support, all other languages, touch screen support and Media Center which saved me nearly 3GB. I found those are not necessary for me. I'll never speak to my lappy, never gonna touch them (I have no tablet or touch screen PC), never use the Media Center since my PS3 is doing the job and never gonna change my OS language to japanese or mexican or bla bla bla..

u upgrade using windows anytime upgrade or ur own usb drive? And when u r booting u make a fresh installation or upgrading process? And 1 more thing, will the hp softwares preinstalled in the pc will be missing after formatting? I found some of them really useful like the games tongue.gif
*
I never got the chance to explore the installed item by HP so I just disregard them since the netbook doesn't belongs to me and my friend want them to be fast like it did on their other lappy. So I think it'd be better if I just do a fresh installation. I deleted the HP Recovery drive and the windows drive since I didn't like the way they partitioned them. I like the windows drive to be small and the other remaining as personal files drive. This way, if windows got crazy, I can just reformat that particular drive without worrying about backing files up.

The telephone line ready for this 4MB is direct line type and should not have frequent disconnection, less data loss and so forth.
What does that mean? You have a different kind of cable? Mind to elaborate more? Coz I'm the one who requested for 4Mbps and now got stucked since my line isn't fit enough to accept such a speed.
