Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can tell me more about the life in Adelaide. From what I heard it can be quite dry there sometimes, and the humidity is very low. (cracked lips? My friend said that his relative in Adelaide have to apply lips moisture all the time lol) Does it rain often or rain is sacred?

haha! i've been in adelaide since the 10th of feb 2011 bro. for me it's alright. as long as you drink lots of water u should be alright. from what statistics show, it rains alot during winter and seldom during summer. it's dry during summer and wet in winter. for me the lip balm is not necessary but i do use moisturizer. and drink ALOT of water. stay cool in the heat. it's not really that hot though. you can google adelaide's temperature now and see what temperature it is, the humidity levels and all. it's pretty cool now, down to 14.8 celsius.. this afternoon it reached 24 tops.. u planning to come to adelaide?

Perth's weather is drying me crazy. As I have asked a few individuals about summer in Perth, they would see this time was one of the hottest summers ever. Thought my uni library would have air-conditioners everywhere as they wouldn't really need to use during spring, autumn and especially winter. But then, not that much.. just room temperature. Hoping to see some changes in season in days to come. =D

was in perth for 3 days.. mid-day. first day, i missed adelaide already.. haha!

Its not that hot compared to last year's summer, This year's summer didn't even reach 4+ degrees, plus there are some rainy days as well.
Summer is almost over already, it will be getting cooler i think

As a postgraduate student, we have our own computer lab at the business school (pretty cool air conditioning); i usually hang out in that room when im lazy to go back hehehe

yup. it's pretty useless.. wanted it cuz i thought it might help in my studies in australia but then again.... with an iphone 4, the ipad is pretty much junk.. i'm trying to sell it now. overclockers don't let u register with a free email. i've no idea what a paid email is. lol..i'll manually find someone who can use it in their studies in australia and sell it to them... selling it for $500.

haha!! 16GB wifi only.. $300?! it's like brand new dude!! with receipt and all. got it on the 22nd of february. used it for a week then it's been sitting on my table plugged in since then. LOL! got a screen protector worth $30 and a cover worth $30. haha! it's like brand new.. xD

haha yea i know, im not even half serious hehe...like u said when u have iphone 4, ipad is just an accessory..thus will need extreme good deal for me to get it.

yup....sucks man. might get a trade.. my ipad for a ipod touch 4th gen + $AUD 200..

People need to understand that the ipad, is just a wonderful TOY. Good marketing, good aesthetically, good gimmicks, good fun and entertainment... but meh practicality in terms of working and productivity. Try typing a 5000 word essay on the ipad and you'll have so much fun.

Get a proper laptop for your studies - it's better than a desktop since you can lug it around campus.

yeap. i got a macbook pro already. and i have to agree. iPad is very useless and it does not help in studies at all technically. now i just wanna sell it. if only there's somewhere i can post up to sell besides eBay

Rain often during winter time, thunderstorm very rare.
If you cycle, check the weather and used public transport if it rains.

Try your uni email.
Call Apple and ask if you can return it.
They have good customer service, don't have to wait long to speak to someone.
BTW did you know all the new science undergrad at Adelaide Uni will received a free ipad this year?

can return to apple just because i find it useless? o.o i didn't know i can do that. haha.. and yup! even when i was in malaysia, it came out on the newspapers, AU is the first uni in Australia to incorporate such a leap in technology. LOL! I even saw some people from uniSA posting that they're not even sure uniSA knows what an iPad is... x.x
