no , i didnt see any artifacts however using Ati Tray Tools & scanning for artifacts, it does after 3-4 minutes

2
psu ratings? 450w, but this is 8 years old already, lol.. the entire system is old. nope, never OC any parts. thing is I downclock the GPU. last time i encounter problem with the GPU liao. so downclocking solved the problem. guess its deteriorating over time

my X800 PRO gpu clocks supposed to be 475/900. it is running at 460/880 during the BSOD.

i am pretty sure no artifacts on screen. no picture runs out. just happens when i play heavy intensive game. i can play Counter Strike for 1-2 hours without problems.

What is 0×00000005 Invalid Process Attach Attempt or 0×00000006 Invalid Process Detach Attempt?
An invalid process attach/detach attempt is a slightly more common error code. Your system is trying to add or halt a process and there is a conflict. The computer cannot resolve the conflict and shuts down, giving you the Blue Screen of Death and the 0×00000005 or 0×00000006 Stop Code.

What Causes the Invalid Process Attach/Detach Attempt?
The most common cause of an Invalid Process Attach/Detach Attempt error is probably a computer game that is incompatible with your system. If you have recently attempted to install a new game on your PC and gotten this error, this is most likely your culprit.

What Can You Do About an Invalid Process Attach/Detach Attempt?
You will want to uninstall the game or device that caused the error. You may still be able to run a game off of disk, especially if you run your system in safe mode to minimize conflicts, but you are probably better off returning the game for one that is more compatible with your system. If the error is the result of a device driver, you’ll need to find an updated driver, or a device with a different driver that will work with your computer.

bbqsauce

my personal opinion: maybe should change/mod the cooler of X800. check the gpu temp during artifacting.

makes sense, i just installed Starcraft II , thats probably why

when i run ati tray tools to "SCAN FOR ARTIFACTS", after about 120 seconds or so, it would artifact, my monitor will go blank and windows will just crash forcing me to restart.

i've installed latest ati drivers for my GPU, that being 10.2 catalyst if im not mistaken

its probably not heat, now that i've cleaned all the dust from the cpu,gpu and internal mobo with air spray and a brush.

it could be power supply, since its so freaking old and probably unable 2 deliver the energy i need for the gpu
