i can imagine the ipad would be terrible for your back and neck. I really don't see how this is going to be appealing even for the older masses.  Especially the older masses, when it comes to reading text in such a small viewing pane. Granted text can be zoomed in and out, but that completely misses the point of browsing through articles. Apple's ipad is making it such a hassle for browsers like me who skim through articles looking for something worth reading.  And to make matters worst, multitasking isn't supported.

Even if you are to hold it up to match your line of sight without straining your neck, the weight of the ipad is going to be a bother.  And the dimensions of the ipad doesn't work for mobile storage because not everyone would carry a fannypack.  It's easier to pocket an iphone but not the ipad.

This product is doomed to fail.

Based on my understanding, I reckon he is trying to use his 3G enabled iPhone as a wireless access point for the iPad. Not sure if it could work though.

According to Neowin, Apple’s tablet device may hit some international markets in less than threeless than three weeks time. This device is expected to launch in the UK, Canada and some European markets on April 24. An Apple employee in Canada and UK have even confirmed the launch date.

Earlier, Apple have already announced that iPad will be launched during late April at Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. It is also rumored that the 3G models of iPad will be launched at the same time in the US.

i am not sure whether no tethering because AT&T does not allow it but here in malaysia i can my tether macbook via bluetooth.

abit weird though, use the iphone so create a wifi network so that u can use ur ipad to go online....

I pre-order it. I got it direct from Apple iPad and the case the day it open for preorder. The case USD39. With purchase of macs, mobileMe - USD69 (regular USD99).

You can buy iPad games and apps using your Malaysian Account on your desktop/laptop iTunes then sync it over. The on device iTunes app does not allow for users outside of US to connect to different country iTunes. Only some apps require to have US iTunes accounts like the Apple iWorks suite.

R u sure Malaysia iTunes store doesn't have iPad App?
