I still havent buy any body yet .. I still consider about which one i should buy .. , now comparing.. I mean canon and nikon .. ( dont start )
because I saw youtube , they saying some lens are professional lens , like canon they have the "red" ring on the lens or nikon some how . some model have "DX" on it .. can you guyz pro .. tell me more about it . ?
bro take it slowly. even if u're rich, there are so many better ways to spend 10k than blindly buying DSLR and lenses. there are a few stuff u should know 1st.
1. lens makes the biggest impact on photos. sharpness, contrast, zoom, capturing speed, focusing speed n accuracy, bokeh, vibration reduction, n a lot more. of course the body factors in as well, but not that much difference. a cheap nikon D3000 with a good lens will beat an expensive D3S with a crappy lens any time
2.
this is the most important thing: the best camera with the best lenses doesnt make good photos. photographer does. so instead of splurging on lenses n cameras, maybe u can go for a proper photography class n learn how to take good photos. that way u'll make the best use of whatever DSLR u get
3. prime lens juz means a lens that cant zoom. the advantage is that they have excellent optical quality, n typically has wide apertures. u can google what is aperture if u want to know
4. as for DX, the simple answer is that DX lenses are recommended for DX bodies. DX bodies are all nikons except for the expensive full-frame ones (D3X, D700) and the film ones (F6)
5. yes pro lenses are better, and more expensive as well. by better, i mean in terms of those in (1), except for vibration reduction
those listed by maxh3h3 are a good choice to start. the 50mm f/1.4D is a prime lens, and that "1.4" means the maximum aperture it can go, so it's considered as a very fast lens, but u cant zoom with it. however the f/1.4D is actually RM1300 hehe. the f/1.4G is the RM1800 one, difference is that it focuses faster
the D90 is excellent as well. good enough for beginners, but it's well spec enough to serve pros as well
