With the quality of pics u get from fix prime like 35mm at high apertures as 1.8, its really hard for u when u start comparing capability in giving u satisfying shots. If u would have want a better zoom lens for travel, i could suggest u some.

if u hate to change lens in traveling = 24-70 f2.8 of tamron and sigma
ask your self how much u need that 200mm ? do u do birds , sports car , paparazzi?
if u ask me, i would love a 200mm for none of the reason above, i only want a 200mm with high apertures for portrait
200mm portrait in dx format = really have to get quite far to get a whole body shop but the bokeh is kinda crazy unbelievable.
Getting a all rounder lens like 18-200mm is not a good solutions to me
prime produce the best results ( no doubt )
if u have to choose, a cheap secondhand 18-200 VR1 would be a good choice

the 24-70 as u suggested is great, but wayyy out of my budget hehe. photography is just a hobby to me so i dont dare to spend that much. im thinking about rm2k for a tele lens and a flashgun, and that's probably it
i want the 200mm mostly for candid shots, although i understand i cant get good bokeh.
secondhand 18-200 VR1 still too expensive for me. do you think the 18-105 VR suits me? i'll be in kl 2moro so maybe i'll stop by the nikon centre at BTS to try it out. are there any other lens around that range n cheaper? with VR / OS of course
