QUOTE(Dannyl @ May 29 2010, 10:21 PM)
My wife using main line, me using supplementary line.  Since I'm paying the bills, we figured we'd change the ownership to my name, so any changes in call plans, MNP, etc in the future, we don't need her presence.  Today went to DiGi 1Utama, told the counter we want to change ownership, the girl told us, "please come back on Monday".  I asked why, she said changing ownership involves terminating the account, recycling the number, then registering the number again.  We got fed up and left.

So, I'm curious:
1)  why Monday?
2)  how long does the whole damn process take?
*
Hmm. That's unfortunate that you have to experience this.
1. System may be down and will only be back on Monday. For postpaid transfer of ownership, we’ll have to deactivate the account and re-register it back with the same numbers. Can't be sure without further details, though.
2. Once deactivated, re-registration will be made immediately. Should be completed within 24 hours.

Well, that is the standard procedure for all telcos, not only DiGi.
These inactive numbers will be recycled later.
The chances to get back the same number is very slim. You can try dropping by the nearest DiGi Centre and see if this is still possible. As far as I know, it is not possible anymore.

Sorry lor. Can't reactivate back already for prepaid numbers.

Note that if you have zero credit in our prepaid line, you won't be able to access also ya.

Also, you'll not be charged if you post comments. Do let us know if you face any issues with this new service.

Won't. Make sure is WAP , then it's free.

If it's under diginet APN, it should also be free.

If you're using Blackberry to access, make sure you're using the WAP browser.

eh.. i tethering also wor.. but while using my phone as a modem i still will received call and sms.. but my connection is still active.. hmm.. lol

sweetpuff: tat thing is mifi ( mobile wifi)
but if digi speed is only 700kps and u share it somemore.. wont it be slow? unless digi is planing to up its speed .. plus when will digi upgrade its 3g coverage in klang valley?
*
Sharing of course will slow things down. And of course if you tether while on 3G, calls will still go through. Else the caller won't be able to get through.

Also, if you're just a home user, you're better off setting up a wireless router. The biggest plus for this device lies in mobility.

Expand 3G coverage across klang valley. Granted, there's still a lot of areas that is not covered, but it ain't cheap to roll out the infrastructure, and DiGi don't have the financial clout of the other 2 bigger telcos. So, the best way to compete against them is in customer experience.

So, we're a bit more careful about over expanding our resources and end up unable to support them. Hopefully with your continued support, we can continue to grow.

Sometime Tradezone they do sell d-campus number, or you can open a [WTB] thread offer to buy.  nod.gif

Unfortunately, it's things like this that forced digi change the campus plan.

If you are using diginet to access zero.facebook.com or 0.facebook.com, you should never be charged. Ensure you're not accessing m.facebook.com ya.

PM me your number and time/date of access and I'll take it up with customer service and the product guys.

WARNING: DiGi Facebook Zero NOT Free!
Update:
DiGi returned my call and insisted that Facebook Zero is free as long as no images or external link is displayed. My small amount of credit is not expected to be refunded. After that I insisted that their system is erroneous, DiGi advised to visit DiGi Center to allow them to validate.

I wonder what's my compensation to travel all the way there.
*
The product managers for this are already aware of this issue and looking into it as we speak. I'll update everyone here soon.

Added on June 11, 2010, 2:52 pmAlso, no need to go to DiGi Center to settle this for now. I personally don't see why you need to do so. So, please hold on for now. We'll sort it out for you guys.

And your so-called technical department yet to get back to me bout my network issues btw~
Gosh, Its been already 1 week, 5 calls and no action taken for anything at all~
Maybe I know, I don't use 10k per month like those big players.
We shall see whether such deserve an extension or not.
*
Hmm. That's bad. Sorry about that. The standard time to get back to customers is 2 days, if I recall. Can PM me your number? I'll be able to follow up on your complaint with the CS managers. And maybe some details about the nature of your network issue?

Correct, correct, correct. All the cakap-cakap between DiGi and customers are normally handled by customer service.

Anyway, sorry about not being around that often lately. I'm stuck with 9am-6pm meetings all the way till the end of the month. So, I'm now lowyat-ting during a meeting tongue.gif
