Greetings from Bangalore, India.

I'm still in "Culture Shock" mode now tongue.gif

Poor super messi. Actually it's okay to share news/articles but if it is NOT confirm, better state it clearly - so that ppl understand that your points are on the bit "IF" scenario

QUOTE(ESLord @ Jan 13 2010, 08:15 PM)
My 2 cents... not too fancy abt Sol coming
  1. they way he ditch us.
  2. he is old and slow, definitely over the peak.
  3. Someone said he could lead and influence the team, but from the way he broken down, i doubt anyone would gave him any respect.

But then, something is better then nothing - especially in covering our thin back line.
Next, is the Pool beat us to sign Chakmah- for 25mil pounds.
I thought they are in worst financial shape that us- so that is a self destruction button? And why Chakmah keen to join them, Chakmah not a fan of UCL?

i wonder, i wonder
*
1. It was bewildering at that time, but Sol's departure wasn't as bad as Cashley's, Hleb's, or Adebayor's.
2. Possible. Yet Arsene must have saw something during Sol's training that suggests that he can still offer us something - not first team material perhaps, but good enough to fill in whenever required.
3. If Sol is now mentally fit to play at top level again, it could be a positive thing as to teach younger players how to bounce back from poor form.

Liverpool - Chamakh is seriously a joke especially when they are cash-strapped.

Chamakh is going to be a free player this summer and he can choose wherever he wants to go, which is more likely to be us if we maintain contact under the table like we previously did with Robin. Unless Bordeaux do something drastic like sign an extension before selling (Melo), otherwise they ain't gonna get any cash.

Haha Ade seem like he doesn't have enough shirt, he's spotted to wear a shirt with Arsenal crest in an interview back in Togo after the horrible gun attack on Togo football team.

I wonder what will Man City fans think of this,

OK Here are my thoughts then on Ade,

QUOTE
Most of us City fans are relieved that you are uninjured. We are dismayed that we have been unwisedly squabbling about you wearing an Arsenal shirt that 'doesn't even fit you'. In the eyes of others, our castigation of you and our internecine squabbling, we have appeared not to look good.
Your reasons for wearing them may not be obvious to some of us City fans.
However if you wear them;
1. Out of respect to those who died who were Arsenal fans
2. Out of respect to your Togolese fans, many of whom were your followers when you moved to Arsenal.
3. Or because you didn't have any tops to doff on
4. Or whatever reasons in your state of grief or bereavement,
Its fine and acceptable to many of us.
Once again our sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families of those who died. We pray and wish a speedy recovery for those injured ones and would like to share this inspirational poem to prepare you to return back to City

IF (Rudyard Kipling )
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise

BTW Hows your young Vieira doing? The one and only Diaby whom I always regard as a top gunner?

Pause for a while and reflect on my post before you reply.
Long before some of you guys can recognize Diaby as a top gunner, a number of you hotheads were going to railroad him out of Emirates, just like the Gooners did to Ade and now some bigoted hot head City fans amongst us are doing now.

I have always being a fan of Diaby and Eboue, irrespective of their clubs, recognizing talent such as Diaby and Drogba, Richards et al. What I can't stand is 'misguided or misanthrophic' fans going along slating those players ,and hopefully that in some small measure here I can rectify this situation.

My advice, as an uncle, please do not be duped by bigoted, parochial or the ethnocentric media with their vested interest or agenda.
And that includes the 'rabid fans' among us. doh.gif

yeah... among those fans was i. I admit that I was one who called for Diaby's head last season. However, during the offseason he commited himself to extra training and conditioning. I was still skeptical about him but AW trust in him. Now looks like he's beginning to show his potential already in the team.

I was more of a fan of Song ever since the days he played for Charlton Ath. He showed good composure and good visions. It's just that at young age, you tend to be inconsistent. He got into the team last season and this season showed us what he can do.

I don't know what happened to Cameroon but i do hope they'll lose another game so that Song can come back to us sooner than expected. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I was suppose to be in UK end of this month but had to cancelled because bos tak approve leave la. haih... if not, i'll watch the game live at Bridge..Arsenal-Chelsea and Emirates...Arse-Liv. damn it!

Ha ha, I still remember the Diaby Hate Club tongue.gif

Anyway, I fully support everyone's right to state their points in the forum. This is a free world. Footballer is more a celebrity and it is acceptable to be open for criticism.

It's really amazing how Diaby has proved everyone that he can take all those bad comments and never stop improving himself on the pitch. The best way to shut everyone up is doing what you should do on the pitch biggrin.gif

Misjudging a player's potential is also alright among fans. We are fans, not managers or scouts. We judge according to what we see on the pitch. When a player is bad on the pitch, we are frustrated. When this player is improving, we acknowledge it. End of the story biggrin.gif We just want the club we support to be successful.

But why oh why, I still find some ppl prefer pointing fingers at some individual fans. This is supposed to be a discussion on Football, not about you or me biggrin.gif

On Cameroon defeat, I really dunno. Well, even if Song comes back earlier due to Cameroon early exit, he may become unhappy, frustrated and his form may be down. I haven't look at the fixture yet but if it is still manageable, I would prefer Song to get the best result for his country before coming back fresh and motivated.

but kimhoong.... remember last year what happened to Cesc? Spain won EURO and Cesc was instrumental in the run... but he was jaded and used up. He struggles to find his form and was beleaguered most of the time. Maybe it's because AW was trying some formations back then and it doesn't really suits us.

the longer a player went on interlull... the better chances for them to get injured! that's the scary thought weh. but i'm all for Vermy at DM. ehehehe

Till today, I never understood why arsene wenger have to sell off adebayor.
Clearly adebayor adored arsenal and never wanted to leave, although he always misses goal chances.
But he's consistence and can score important goals, not like the man with spaghetti leg's.

Actually, most of us know there potential in Diaby, just that after his serious injury, he been inconsistent and poor in form that we tend to bash him due to his performance, but never actually want AW to sell him that much if compare to Ade.

Ade case very different from Diaby, we know Ade is a good player, but his off field behavior is questionable at time.

But I admit, Eboue and Diaby is good player, Eboue to us is like what Ray Parlour is to Arsenal in the pass, he may not play every game, and may not play every game that well, but when he do play, we know we have a good cover and a good player, something of a club cult hero for me.

On Diaby, I'm still reserving my comment for him, what I'm seeing now is just what he was able to do before his horrific injury or better by a bit. What I hope is he will grow to something like Viera, which seem likely currently if he keep his consistency.

Specially Arsenal players, I never know why they always get injured during international, look at RvP, as far as my memory serve me, nearly 90% of RvP injuries was due to him out on international duties, which always make me go all doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif when I read it in the news last time.

I don't really have much grudge towards Ade although I must admit stuffs that happened between him and Arsenal fans not so long ago is always not favorable to me. Still, at least he should have learned from from what happened between him and the gooners last time and have a bit of respect towards Man city fans by not wearing such shirt publicly. Anyway that's enough about him.

As for Diaby, I've never been the one who didn't like him, I've always think he'll come through. Arsene have enough belief to put him in the team, he'll give enough opportunity for worthy players to take their chances. Diaby is young and playing at top level at his age he will be exposed and make mistake, but this season it can be seen that he started to do better.

ade was good but i dont know if it was him or his agent who always gatal gatal go find other club...asking them to offer more money...1st it was AC milan, then chelsea then man city...selling ade was a good deal(the money)...but not replacing him was the worse part...now we are left with a midget(arshavin) upfront alone...funny..i would love to see arshavin score a header...that would bring shame to the opposing defender.

his 5 foot4
his 5 foot 4
we got arshavin f*ck adebayor

kinda have a ring to it...i dont know how they made this chant up...lolx

Haiz.... I must admit it's true sad.gif

Anyway, the most important is not whether the country he represents win anything, it's more on self-satisfaction how he performs smile.gif

Psychology aside, physical readiness is much important

Me 2. Too me, he was average tall striker until he banged the 30 goals for Arsenal. After that, things get messy with him off the pitch.

I have no complaint that he was sold to MC because we simply couldn't afford his desire to earn more.

However, the run-across-the-field-and-celebrate-in-front-of-Arsenal-fans incident is really too much to my liking.

Oh well, if some ManCity fans can forgive him wearing Arsenal jersey (for any "self-made reasons"), it doesn't mean we could... ha ha... because not everyone is an angel whistling.gif
