its actually already been published at arsenal official website according to goal.com

QUOTE
A brief statement appeared on the club's official website this afternoon (Tuesday), but has since been taken down. It read: "Sol Campbell is back at Arsenal".

Sources inside the club confirmed that a deal is likely to be finalized this evening, and blamed "technical issues" for the transfer announcement appearing prematurely on the website.

it seems our former captain will join us back.... rclxms.gif

although he'll not expect to be in the first team but his influence in dressing room could be useful for our youngsters...he'll add up expirience in our team since..at least bring back the spirit of 2006 paris champions league final alongside almunia, cesc, eboue, clichy & sendy.....

at least he can still play as backup defender...dont know whter he's eligble to play in champions league or no..

btw, sol, u'll always welcome to arsenal because u're arsenal greatest player number 15....& for leaving spurs behind to join arsenal... brows.gif

Unfreakingbelievable. Sol is back !! biggrin.gif

There's no harm signing him as it's only a short term deal, even if he doesn't make the grade he can leave by summer. The only harm done is to Sendy's confidence but he's not going to get any games anymore.

So, we have an old ex-Gunner looking set to join while on the other hand, a young and ambitious Gunner looking forward to leave the club... interesting !

With Campbell in and Senderos out, I can only see that Djourou is getting better chance to play, probably end of the season or next season due to his long injury.

Poor Senderos for all the pains he has to go through in his Arsenal career. Well, he's a nice lad and I only have my best wishes for him on his new chapter of football.

Thinking of that, I think AW's welcoming Campbell back as an ad-hoc solution to Senderos' resignation.
