QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 7 2010, 04:31 AM) i swear i saw someone posted a quote in here from his agent saying something about wanting to build his career in Spain and him being grateful to Arsenal and Arsene bla bla blabut then again, this also contain direct quote from his agent. who knows which 1 is true. for me, if Fran did not feature in 1st team after this that will be the clear indicator that he is out this summer QUOTE(faizfluff @ Jan 7 2010, 08:37 AM) Well it may be blessing in disguise. Wenger ''fears the worst'' over Merida deal
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Merida's future has not been decided it turns out that merida is not going Atletico Madrid but he still hasn't commit his future to Arsenal for whatever reason it remains to be seen. Regarding Arsenal-Bolton match called off, i do think it's a good move seeing that players have enough rest to take on Everton this weekend and besides we do have 8 players out injured at the moment so this could be a good blessing. But there is a disadvantage to us in the future as our matches will pile up and result in our players playing a lot of matches in a month. I really hope by that time it happens, all our players are fit and ready to go. |

QUOTE(toshio14 @ Jan 7 2010, 09:06 AM) i swear i saw someone posted a quote in here from his agent saying something about wanting to build his career in Spain and him being grateful to Arsenal and Arsene bla bla bla That's what I felt as well, it's all agent talk. They'll say whatever they want to whoever they are talking to. Even Arsene is unsure why Fran is still stalling on the contract despite reportedly accepting the terms. It's such a waste of talent, but it's very hard for Franny to push beyond Fabs, Rambo, Diaby; or the flanks where there's Nasri, Jack, and Theo. Not forgetting the competition posed by Lansbury and JET once they return from loan.but then again, this also contain direct quote from his agent. who knows which 1 is true. for me, if Fran did not feature in 1st team after this that will be the clear indicator that he is out this summer maybe with Cesc back and our new striker ready for debut Again, the sad case is that we simply cannot retain that many youngsters and someone just has to go at some point. Lansbury signed a deal recently but like Franny it's an uphill struggle for him. Same with Nacer who is simply hanging in no man's land - too good for the reserves, not first team material yet. |

Bendtner fitness holds key to striker deal
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Source! judging from AW's comments,it seems he's thinking of only buying a striker, no mention of a defensive player whatsoever. Then this means Senderos has a future at Arsenal until he gets sold! |

He should learn more from the likes of Cesc, Rosicky, Nasri and Arshavin. He can even learn a lot from Song. |

In 1998 when we won the title, we were at least 10-12 pts behind Man U, but we had at least 3 games in hand and that made the difference. This would mean that the chances of winning the title rests entirely in our own hands. This is where the lads need to be mentally tough and maintain consistency throughout. |

Don't forget the postponement would result in a tighter fixture for us towards the end of the season. There's no real advantage nowadays if you ask me. I read somewhere that the EPL will finish earlier than they normally do, to give more rest to the England players before World Cup.This would mean that the chances of winning the title rests entirely in our own hands. This is where the lads need to be mentally tough and maintain consistency throughout. |

Yes but we can also play Bolton later when they've got new manager syndrome as well as with FA Cup and Champions League games to juggle at the same time. The match postponement is an opportunity missed to get a perfectly winnable game out of the way in my book.
