iinm last time quick test with it...1.325vcore not able to make 550BE 0922 X4 3.1ghz stable..or im just noob enough

yup, no doubt nb is d easiest part, it's d process of tweakin chip + ram which is more time consuming.

i'm quite disappointed with d voltage implementation for g45 to be honest, vcore swing on idle as well as load (not much but still occur). from idle to load d diff can be as huge as 0.05v which to me is a turn off. even biostar 790gx board not doin as as bad (infact seldom happen apart from vdroop). and vnb (not imc volt), vsb & vhtt are linked together, if u alter one d rest will be changed as well.

i can only blame myself as i got d chance to choose between 790gx a3+ & 770-g45 @ same price, but i end up choosin msi for better layout + look. bad choice... but for d sake of bling2 (gfx cooler) + able to use d xonar pci-e sound card + meet budget, i got no choice but to settle w/ g45. not too shabby in term of oc (considerin d price) but i miss d precise (not very precise thou) volt tweakin in biostar.

But if set auto I think able to run well..
I set auto can even run stable at 3.4GHz.
Now pushing to 3.6GHz cant stable only..

yalor, if i get a3+ again, that would be my 3rd time usin d same board, kinda bored... in contrary, i think i gotta stuck w/ this board for sometimes as d resale value is low, some more 8xx series is comin out soon (not cheap thou). it's very2 hard to have another chance of gettin free upgrade...

my 2 cents about this budget board:

pros:
- good layout for cf + pci-e sound card setup
- nice color theme inherited from gd-70
- decent bios + overclockability
- team dark 1600 lv cas 7 (which not workin well w/ 790fxta-ud5 + ahsos 790fx/785 board) worked almost as gud as gd-70.

cons:
- poor voltage implementation (not so refined, vcore swing & vht + vnb + vsb are linked together)
- no any other onboard switch apart from oc switch (which is redundant to me), com'on, addin a power + reset switch won't hurt
- not bein a full sized atx board (smaller = less space to squeeze in ram cooler as pwm cooler) > i hate this most...

yup, i was checkin d price lists just now but see none...

i nearly took d asus 77td pro (or something like that), d one w/ 8 + 1 pwm & cf feature. but d fugly color theme + possible issue w/ team dark (d ram can do nuts on 785 evo, 1600 @ 9-9-9-x w/ 1.8v from what i read in hwz) really turn me off.

now i need to loan a quad c3 to test d board, hopefully there'll be kind soul who's willin to help... *hint to abg otromen...

haven't try 1680 cl7, but i remember i tried 1700 (usin aod) straight away reboot. highest bootable was 162x iirc... slightly inferior than d big big brother - gd70... not to bad.
