Hello everyone,I need some guidance on oc-ing my 550BE.
I have unlocked it and OC-ed it to 3.4GHz.
Tried and think that 3.5Ghz is the max.
Any possibilities to increase anymore?
I tried using superpi that time and 3.6GHz cause some prob but didnt test on windows 7.
Does ram timing such afffect?
And how to add voltage?

Mine is C2.I am not sure of what batch.
How to see that batch number?
Using MSI 770-C45 and Mushkin Value Ram.
HT Link speed =1600MHz,
Bus Speed=200MHz,
Multiplier=17.0.

Tried until 3.6Ghz then like cant work under Hyper Pi load.

I only got a B50 and MSI 770-C45 to do OC.
I was interested whether to run higher clocks steadily.
I used everything auto,except multiplier,to run at 3.6GHz.
And it restarted after few minutes running HyperPi.
Any guidance please help me.

Or could you please recommend a Vcore to start with?
What about the other values?
Do they affect the stability of system?

I actually did a bit of reading before started to do OC yet there's not a fruit to bear.
That's why I asked earlier yet no answer on that.
Wanted to know the factors affecting so that can try.
If the proc really can't go that far,then I will just give up;
But if can,I will try.
I don't mind try ACC each like what khoo did,as long as it gives me a result and an answer,as I trying to do that for folding.

OK.Ya,I know there will be a lot of heat being produced.
I think my case got quite ok "wind tunnel"(direct translated from chinese).
I will not be able to OC it till next weekend.
So anyone please leave comments as I will try to note it down and practise it when I get back to my desktop.

I run folding for whole day the temp fluctuates around 3x-53 i guess.

I have used 3.4GHz for daily use,gaming,folding stable for few days..
ANd I have tried using multiplier only.
3.5GHz is max I guess.
It can perform HyperPi 1M calculation without any errors.
But 3.6GHz couldn;t do that.

Can folding replaces Prime?
So it means that I still need to add some Vcore right?

Is latest bios always the best for OC?

Ok,but I could only try it after CNY.
Cause my PC not with me now.

Basically both.
OC n unlock.
Unlock I think no prob d..I have been using it since the first day I bought it.
Only OC with unlock on.
Even without unlock,means with the original 2 cores,can it achieve 3.6-3.8GHz without adding any vcore?
If just set to 3.8 without adding any vcore,will it black screen?

can pass 3.6GHz under hyperpi with vcore 1.375 but unable to pass prime.
now using back stock b50 speeds..sigh..
how also cant pass 3.6GHz steadily.
but i just increase the multi,is it possible that HTT speeds are related to it?
