well...pellet is not the staple food. i oni feed about 1/4 to 1/3 cup a day..pellet is just to fill it's stomach...consider getting plenty of hay...if your bunny is a hay lover u can buy in bigger packaging...timithy hay is highly reccomende...i buy from chubby pets garden..ask my rabbit everytime i refill her hay container she will curi some from the large packaging while i'm refilling it..hahaha...

Hagen is about half price of the pro optimum..but my bunny take pro optimum coz the ingredient inside is very good for the bunny..like for mine is long coat so it prevents hair ball indigestion..after starting pro optimum and the hay she is got no such problem already

Added on February 3, 2010, 6:06 pmToday my Hyorin gave me heart attack...i can't find her in her usual resting spots..i look for her every where can't find...call out for her also don't care...finnaly i saw my furry white rabbit beside the white styrofoam box behind a pail looking at me running up and down the house...camouflage with the box wall and floor...-.-"
getting old my eyesight getting bad..she's probably laughing at me

ouh okay..but i dont totally believe what the pack really says..
sometimes true sometimes not..

but the product bengy..did someone use it?

how good was it?

or better find other product?
*
i think tat's the brand my bunny ate before i change to pro optimum... bought from local petshop they repackage it to small packaging and looks real cheap to me so i just grab...then nightmare happened...dunno izit coz i nv groom often or the food quality...but she got indigestion and stomach stop functioning..didn't poo didn't eat for 4 days..then i ask sangterap for help and he guide me through those though times...he online evryday and thought me what to do..thanks so much bro!..

so to be safe than sorry..stressed out many times already...the recommended cheaper option is Hagen pellets..don't do the same mistake i do...not everyone is as lucky as me as i was able to safe my bunny

what i mean is there is no right or wrong..it's just recommendation ...yes like fyire said..baby rabbits can feed unlimited..adult rabbits i give 1/3 cups...coz the main food is hay..hay should be fed unlimited amount...pellets just to fill up if they are still hungry

Rabbit thread keep moving...binky binky!!!
what shall we discuss about..hmmm..

do u guys enter your bunny for beauty competitions...??
i think malaysia dont have official one right since so many rabbits are mix breeds here..

last time i saw a cat competition they have to leave the cat there for long hours..i feel it's causing stress to the animal..and some i see just go around places even countries to join competitions..like one day here and next day zoom to other country..thats for cats la rabbit i dunno anyone joining competitions in malaysia..just wanna ask your oppinions..sometimes i wonder how the pets life are..ment for beauty only?no house pet life?

i think it's ok to put outside as long as it is shealtered from rain and shine..my ipoh rabbit is outside with the dogs and they bark really loud as they are alert dogs..he's ok with them and the noise..i think it's the matter of getting used to the noise...not too loud like fire cracker also la..

Added on February 10, 2010, 6:20 pmlitter box...do u guys prefer triangle or the rectangle one better??

hi, i've been using bengy since day 1 of getting my rabbits, no adverse situations encountered before... smile.gif

for pellets, i'm using "Super Premium Mix", also with no side effects....healthy sized poop, and lots of em too
*
well it's not recommended to give grains but if u insist it's your choice..it's not poison just not the recommended food..long side effects maybe u can tell us next time from your experience since u are feeding it..

Bengy and super premium mix is 2 different brands right..u giving both pellets to ur rabbit?

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Teddy Bear Rabbit and Jessey Woolly?   I saw people selling this Teddy Bear breed so expensive and claimed it is new and hot breed.

Btw, I have one bunny adopted from a petshop (petshop's customer give up his/her bunny).  Not sure what breed, but quite nice and tame rabbit. Now looking for a soulmate for her.  If I put 2 female together, do you think they will fight?  If I put a junior female in, the chances of fight is less, right?

I have another question (sorry that I am  quite clueless about rabbit), what do you call the color like those Himalayan cat type of color marking rabbit?  I wish to have one like this but must be fluffy long fur.
*
since it's a hot new breed i think u can try google and see the breed and the characteristic..i visit petshops around when i'm free or if i pass by any..so far i didn't see any teddy bear breed yet..if u want to claim a new breed there are many steps to follow..we chat about this in the old posts maybe u can check..so happen is also about the teddy bear rabbit..Jersey woolly definately can find..u can search on the net and see what are the characteristics then u know the rabbit's quality and if it's worth paying for..

my female rabbit doesn't like other rabbit even if they are male or female..last time when i had 3 rabbits..i have to let them out 1 by 1..if not they will fight...many incident that rabbits that are brought up together fight also..but this is less common then newly introduced ones...to me it depends on your rabbit itself...if u have a female..i suggest u get a neutered male to accompany it...but rabbits are ok alone too as long as u give them proper attention and care.

I'm clueless about cats so i dunno whats a himalayan cat..

Sigh...cannot upload photo, even imageshack also take ages to upload.  I saw on Mudah.com, one Holland Lop very cute, it has  the color I like most (the one look like Baa Baa Black sheep/Little Lamb), but the price...currently cannot afford.  One day, when I saved enough $ then may be I will buy that type.

justiny your baba black sheep rabbit is just a picture from the internet they took and use that picture...coz last year i also google pictures to put as my desktop picture for easter day theme and this is one of them...seriously i'm still having this picture now..mine without the mudah tag summo...100% the rabbit are not genuine from the ones they are selling..so beware of this fraud..

here's the proof i just googled lop ear bunny

http://images.google.com.my/images?hl=en&c...ved=0CBIQsAQwAA

there u go..both the pictures are there

hey y'all!

1st of all, GONG XI FA CHAI!  rclxm9.gif

I just bought a bigger cage for my bunny.
Was wondering if you guys could share pics of your rabbit cages with me  smile.gif
as in how you guys decorate it & all.
I want my bunny to live comfortably~

thanks!
*
i dont decorate the cage..only the basic things like food bowl,DIY hay rack, water bowl..for toys i put them around my apartment or the corners where she like to relax..my rabbit is free roaming only cages when i'm not at home or sleeping
if u dont have time to let your rabbit out often..u can try to limit the roaming area
if u got big budget..i suggest u can get play pen and surround a big area..then put fleece cloth or wood shaving and a small rabbit cage for your rabbit to hide and some toys and tunnels will be great..
rabbit to be comfy they like a big space for them to run and binky..

you can check out sangterap "the run" and see what i mean..
