Question to Maybank why there is petronas visa gold or ask them show you the prove that you have applied for it.
Else you need to do something (lodge police report on Maybank or to BNM) and not just simply cancel it.
Imagine what if they "get" you a loan that you never apply.

By the way, you will be charged RM50 once a credit card is issued. You will have to pay for it even you cancel it (if your card approved after 31/12/2009).

I thought the RM50 service tax is only charged upon activation of the card?

The cheapest platinum from DA requires an annual income of RM 60k.

Same goes to SCB Platinum

Any annual free?

DA doesn't impose annual fee officially. Don't talk about waiver later.

I think first year free only, subsequent need to call up. However I heard cases of SCB give direct credit between RM 100 to 200 for new card approval. Not sure how true it is though.

Is DA well accepted like both Visa & Mastercard? Or is it like AMEX? No experience with DA though.

DA is like maybank, citibank. it has 2 types of card (master n visa). it's better to apply mastercard if u want to choose DA. coz DA mastercard have discounts benefits.

What's the main DA difference with CIMB cc? Currently holding CIMB Plat, so if DA is better then I might just convert it. Thanks for the help

Added on February 10, 2010, 12:03 amBy the way, my request to upgrade to Visa Infinite just got rejected by CIMB... sigh...

Asked for such upgrade before at the card centre. The officer told me, there is no such thing as attaching other banks' card to upgrade your current card. The only other way is attaching your 2 months pay slips (or you have to spend significantly & constantly to get their notice, or so I believe). Was so disappointed with tiger bank on this. Planning to cancel the card when my EPP finished.

Actually if I am not mistaken, it would be the same case if you went to other banks as well. (Not just 'tiger' bank)

Actually I believe the interest charged can be easily nulled with a call to their hotline since you are not late on your payment at all. Just short of RM 13 only somemore. Easily countered with an excuse like never receive statement, see the figure wrongly or written the cheque's figure wrongly or something like that. Afterall just a small figure.

To enhance approve chances as fresh graduate, submit at least 3 months pay slip, latest epf statement, latest bank statement showing your monthly salary income & some may require your degree certificate as well.

Is epf statement a must submitted? will it help if i submitted? I didn't coz the requirements state pay slip or epf statement and i did walk in application most of the time the staff didn't ask about epf statement as well.
Not a must but it does enhance your chances to get approved, since your application had been rejected numerously.

hi, can i know what is the fastest way to upgrad my current gold card to platinum card without submitting any income documents?

write in letter to request or just apply it by submitting current cc details?

asking on behalf of my sister who wish to upgrade her cards from gold to platinum but wana ease all the hassle of documentation due to lost of year 2008 income tax documents
*
Minimum need to submit another bank's platinum credit card (more than 1 year old with reasonable platinum grade credit limit) as proof. Otherwise your sister really need to spend extra ordinarily in her current gold card with good paymaster history. Or if your sister's salary goes into the same bank, just ask them check her account as proof of income.

Guys, any latest attractive promo from Citibank? Last heard is RM 100-200 rebate upon new approval, as a token against the service tax.

Anyone know the reason why Citibank seems so secretive about the exact location of the upcoming branch at Taipan USJ?

You are talking about GPS on mobile devices. What is being mentioned here is PND (Personal Navigation Devices for use in automobiles) such as Garmin Nuvi Series or Papago. There's no mobile data capabilities to begin with.

Mapking/iMap/etc on non-Garmin portable GPS can be updated as well, just replace the map file on the SD card. Simple as that.

Anyone can verify regarding whether the newly approved Citibank Plat can get both the GPS unit & 10000 reward points? Or is it either one only?
