Just got the Citibank Plat, that initially applied when the cc sales girl said got free GPS. Now somemore online advertised got somemore 10k reward points for new approved application. Anyone who got theirs, please share. Citibank CS seems very blur on both promotions.

Citibank not bad but their Platinum helpline still needs a lot of self-service action on pressing numbers.

QUOTE(muscaa @ Mar 25 2010, 08:08 PM) you mustn't rely on the information given by the promoter, must do some home work eg. check their website for correct information Had you got the 10000 reward points from Citibank yet? Mine the CS said need to wait 2 months & swipe at least 3 times.Added on March 25, 2010, 8:10 pm BTW citibank is super fast for approving my application for platinum visa within 4 working days Now thinking hard whether to terminate my DA master before they charge me RM50 service tax later this year... one thing I dont like CIMB is their stupid cash deposit machine always reject new bank notes. |

Just read back some brochure about credit limit from Citibank, it states minimum 20k limit for Platinum level. Wondered how come SCB & some other banks can offer Platinum to new users such as fresh graduates at a mere 3k to 5k limit. Guessed Visa/Mastercard SEA does not enforce this strictly on the banks...

I believe Visa/Mastercard SEA should enforce certain ruling on Platinum cards offered by these particular banks since only a handful banks offering Visa Infinite & World Mastercard.

QUOTE(siutimtim @ Mar 29 2010, 04:57 PM) Thanks JJBerry, I mean platinum card worr. not Infinite or Word le. On paper/advertised requirements, if I am not wrong among Platinum cc, HSBC Platinum cc has one of the highest income requirement at RM 150k paI am sure OCBC Platinum Mastercard is not a difficult or high class one la.. - Few of my friends got a housing loan from ocbc, income like 4k plus/month they are offered ocbc plat card without even applying it. They all say it is free for life as long as they still serving the load so they just take loh.. Whether easy to get approved or not, high class or not, then I am not too sure. |

QUOTE(siutimtim @ Mar 29 2010, 08:23 PM) Haha, I am back! no one platinum anymore.. Not sure how strict HSBC but they had the highest requirement for plat cc at RM 150k pa.So is that mean normally if your income is lower than RM10k per month, you will not able to get the HSBC visa platinum? Really so difficult to get meh? I see SCB plat requirement is very low. SCB plat cc requirement is only RM 60k pa now, but most fresh graduates with RM 2-3k salary also get it as well. Same goes to anyone who apply for SCB loan. |

Most 0% balance transfer installment or 0% easy payment, the trick is that there is a cancellation fee or so called 'admin' fee if the card holder opt for early full settlement.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Mar 30 2010, 02:27 PM) No. He can't. Minimum required amount is RM30,000 and HSBC is very strict with it. I guessed it must be our fellow lady forumer here eyeing on the constant FJ Benjamin warehouse sales for HSBC card holders, but this also available for classic & gold cards too if I ain't wrong. I don't see any remarkable benefits from HSBC Plat cc, other than the up to RM 2 million insurance.Anyway, why is he so eager to apply for HSBC Platinum VISA anyway ? I did not notice any special perks associated with HSBC Platinum VISA at all besides better air travel insurance coverage. |

Thus far pretty happy with what Citibank Plat cc has to offer, 10000 reward points + a free portable GPS. Somemore now promo can get 5x points from major hypermarkets & supermarkets. One drawback is that their CS always seemed blur about their latest promo or offerings. Plus, it is quite weird that their Plat dedicated line number is not imprinted at the back of their Plat cc these days, wondered why?

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 5 2010, 08:26 AM) Balance transfer is to transfer an outstanding amount from one credit card to another credit card issued by another bank. If I ain't wrong, only a handful of them is offering 0% installment with no extra charges. For PBB, it is for a limited run only. Thus far only CIMB/DA been running this for quite some time & still going on.Usually to make it competitive and retain/grab existing/new cardholders, they don't impose any charges and offer 0% installment. |

I tried to use at KFC once but the cashier said it is spoilt. Somemore I purposely wanna try the Paypass of CIMB cc. Another time tried at Giant, the Paypass like not working even when I tap the cc to it. More like a white elephant.

I think MBB is even stricter than SCB, credit card wise. Well, at least to me.
