Heard that its an even better model compared to its predecessor Portege T130 but after i register the warranty online, i notice tat my warranty starts on Aug 14 2010 until 14 Aug 2011.... y the date is aug but not dec? and is it got 1 year extra warranty if regsiter now? or my new laptop is used? I'm not really sure but I think the warranty will start from the date of shipping instead of the date of purchase... Not too sure though, its best if you can contact Teledynamics and speak to them about this, they should be able to extend your warranty until Dec Edited: Just checked, ya you should get the 2nd year local warranty This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Dec 16 2010, 11:44 PM |

Hihi~What's your budget for your new netbook? Toshiba's netbooks, even though more user-friendly; are outdated already... its best to consider Asus's netbooks instead... they are very well refined, better spec-ed and cheaper as well... Most of those netbooks have received plenty of very impressive reviews But if your budget permits, its better to go for subnotebooks (11.6-12.1inch) in size instead, those are more powerful and more easy on the eyes |

My budget's like below RM1,500....I need something that just fits into my handbag & I can bring it everywhere just like a handphone. My IT officer recommended Toshiba coz he said it's failure rate is low compared to other brands like Acer. And I just like the design...so classy and sleek ( in my opinion lah).I have a 14" Acer notebook which I use for work but I leave it at home or the office most of the time coz it's heavy & I hate carrying a laptop case around. I need the netbook mostly for surfing the internet.
Added on December 17, 2010, 11:19 pmAny recommendations for subnotebooks? Below RM1,500 ya. BTW I saw the Acer Aspire One range today & didn't like the design. I think for school children oklah coz the colours were so colourful & it looks so plasticy. I think I would hesitate to bring that netbook out in a meeting coz like not so professional looking. My opinion ok.... This post has been edited by adrina_rashad: Dec 17 2010, 11:19 PM |

You should consider Asus's Eee PC, the netbook trend was initially started by Asus anyway... so they're the most seasoned and experienced in designing and building netbooks Added on December 17, 2010, 11:19 pmAny recommendations for subnotebooks? I would recommend 11.6-12.1 inch subnotebooks instead of netbooks for better experience 12 inchers: Asus Eee PC 1215T , AMD K125+ Radeon HD4200@RM1.5k Asus Eee PC 1215P, Intel Atom N550@RM1.4k 10 inchers: Asus Eee PC 1015PEM, Intel Atom N550@RM1.3k Personally I would recommend the ones in bold... Good screen resolution, ergonomic keyboard, good touchpad and not to mention cheap hehe Seriously worth considering ^^ Added on December 17, 2010, 11:58 pm QUOTE(yujin86 @ Dec 17 2010, 11:42 PM) i check on9 again and the warranty is bac to normal oledi haha. but only 1 year dun hav any extra... mayb need to wait another day =.= cos the website state that after 3 days only will show the correct info =.= Good to hear that the warranty has been updated. Do check after a few days, if its not yet updated then you'll have to give them a call, local warranty extension isn't cheap for Toshibas, so must appreciate when you got it for free This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Dec 18 2010, 12:03 AM |

Try use it for another day, if the wear level still like that or increasing, better go ask for exchange...
