I need opinion for:-

Toshiba satelite P745-1001x vs qosmio f60-bd545

Which one should i buy?
What are the pros and cons for each?
*
P745 is a 14" laptop whereas Qosmio F60 is a 15.6" laptop.
Generally 15" laptops are more powerful in terms of performance nod.gif

Performance-wise, the F60 would be better, but then the F60's specs are quite outdated already... so its not really worth buying...
What kind of laptop are you looking for mate? hmm.gif

Hi there. Am looking for a Toshiba laptop as I'm going to enter Uni. May I know how to choose for a good laptop? Or any recommendation? As I'm noob in all these tech stuff... =.=

Thanks for help!

1. Most laptop nowadays can support Starcraft 2, its just the matter of how high the graphic settings only nod.gif
2. Qosmio F60 is rather outdated laugh.gif The newer model would be Qosmio F60-F750 but it costs RM4.7k (might as well get an Alienware M14x or others haha)
3. I have to admiat the P745 does come with some features like sleep-and-music etc.
4. Whether a laptop lasts long or not depends on how good you take care of it nod.gif

Cannot compare P745 and Dell XPS 15 as well since both are of different category.... the Dell XPS 15z has FullHD whereas the P745 doesn't... but then the P745 is smaller and thus more portable...
Since both laptops house a rather powerful CPU and GPU, heat may be a problem haha laugh.gif

Anyway, mind sharing your budget? Usage and preferred laptop size? I bet there are better ones out there for you to consider nod.gif

Grats on your purchase bro!
Mind sharing a simple review with photos? hehe
It'll be good to share the temperatures during load as well yeah laugh.gif

Oh ya, you might want to check whether your system is 64-bit or not. And also you'll want to register your notebook for warranty + create your recovery media (4 DVD-Rs) nod.gif

You reformat your laptop or you recover your laptop to out-of-box-state? By right if you did the latter, all the drivers will be installed for you automatically nod.gif

Update: I did find a Bluetooth Stack driver for the L745 at the Toshiba website? http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/support [you have to configure on your own as the direct link doesn't work]

No, not faster, just that is support more than 4GB ram.

To switch, you would need to reformat the Windows, or run the recovery from Toshiba, it will give you option for the x86 or x64.

Backup your data to external hdd first before doing so..

just support more than 4gb ram .. mine is 4gb so i dont think i will need the x64bit features for now yet .. i'll stick to 32bit 1st .. good idea ?

feel like changing to 64bit .. how should i do it to remain all my current files ? my computer is now still clean from files .. reinstall windows or system restore ?

If you use 32bit, the 4GB ram would only be detected as 3.XX GB, not all the 4GB is usable...

You need to copy your file to external hdd or pendrive. Then do a system recovery by holding '0' (zero) then press power button to turn on the notebook.
