ya..dry wall is common overseas ..here people still not used to it..as long as not the norm, normal reaction i reckon..

ya true lah..if dont want to pay maintenance, then stay in landed but then nowadays security is ultra important so i rather pay..

having said that i noticed that maintenance fees are going up for condos generally ..just got a notice for 30% increase in maintenance fee for a condo in DP..!
geram lah..some more maintenance not top notch..

think YTL will do a better job ..time will tell.

there seems to be a leakage problem....its still under defect warranty so YTL should be able to fix it..??

anyway, as long as there is water leakage, it will still look like this whether drywall or brickwall...

real pain for owners as have to submit long defect list to this YTL so time wasted waiting for them to deal with the issues.

from what i see, the workmanship of Midfields is comparable to that of Gaya bangsar ..meaning its definitely does not represent the so called modern
and quality design so befitting of YTL based on their past developments..

having said that, the pools are nice, and that place is very windy
and access to KL and other parts of KV very convenient...

the management office is very strict so this is good in the long run for owners and residents alike....they are as strict as T&T... tongue.gif

ya..the planter box in black marble stone like material is very classy..

the common areas need to be repainted! the contractor seemed to have used one litre of paint mixed with 100 litres of water if you get my meaning... whistling.gif

yes peeling too at some areas and most of it due to poor quality paint that you can see through to the cement....

actually the prop belongs to cousin and i am helping that is all..anyway will get cousin to complain..developer nowadays all the same one..they collect the maintenance fees for first year or so before JMB is formed and then find ways to spend as little as possible and think of creative ways to do you know what lah...

read in another forum that demand is more than supply currently? does that mean the final phase will be a BBB event?

i think it will depend at what price psf its sold ..if at 500psf still a good buy? hmm.gif

every new condo nowadays will have breakins ..its like a syndicate moving from one development to another ..modus operandi is to rent a place inside
the development and observe comings and goings ..so even with top notch security, the owners have to do their part as well in terms of ensuring
doors and windows are closed and locked at all times when going out..

and if you have lots of valuables kept in the house, please buy insurance to cover for theft, fire etc..dont be penny wise pound foolish.


really in current times, dont depend solely on the security provided by developer/JMB or whatever, as it would be foolhardy to think that this security can be
100% effective

actually hor, wanna find a condo in this price range or any range for that matter that pleases everyone not possible lor..sometimes have to give and take ..major defects are a no no
but small irritation sometimes, we got to see pass them. In the end, one man's meat is another man's poison. So some may like the place, and some may think
its crap so what i am saying is that its a personal choice.

to me, based on what i have seen, YTL 's workmanship sucks for midfields - which basically means owners have to spend lots of time and effort to get them rectified..which they should and teach YTL that consumers will not accept crap.! They always harp about their great achievements all the time but should not take the small man in the street for granted. If you want to be a leader in this field, you MUST BE CONSISTENT....
