QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Dec 31 2009, 10:55 PM) EDIT: Btw... that is a nice holster... info info! QUOTE(Striderman @ Dec 31 2009, 11:24 PM) I believe that is a rubber grip for Mag light from Nite-Eze. I used to have one for my 6C. It will make your grip feel very comfortable and secure especially in winter but the rubber wouldn't last long yup. indeed it is. very secure gripping and comfortable to hold. had to cut out some rubber from the middle as it's too long for TK40 (otherwise it will cover the fins). ![]() holding in hand... ![]() a very good holster to have. |

from this original picture sent by ZL, it looks like a XP-G...
![]() EDIT: but unlikely as they have a SC30w coming soon. so... XP-E is most probably right... This post has been edited by RookieDaddy: Jan 6 2010, 08:25 PM |

QUOTE(old newspaper @ Jan 7 2010, 07:40 PM) but the price is whooping USD 248 !! haha... indeed, indeed... if existing SP-6 is what indicate the Ti version built, then most of the cost goes into the raw materials. a collector item. |

Guys and gals,
I've manage to get a small quantity of Krytox GPL203 grease and repack them into smaller containers. This is one of the higher performing lubricant and good for Anodized, Ti and SS light. I'm also using it in my G2. Some useful information about this general purpose grade: - Frequently Asked Questions - Krytox® - MSDS Krytox® PFPE/PTFE Greases (GPL 20(X) Series) - Experience of various grease shared by Luminescent in candlepowerforums I've only manage to repack into 10 small containers (at 6g each) and 3 have already been spoken for. Please pm for details if you are interested (sorry, only COD is possible for now). My experience with bare Aluminum thread has been consistent with Luminescent and I do not recommend this grease for use on bare Al thread (as it require some efforts to spread a really thin and even layer on these bare Al for it to work!). For bare Al and/or brass thread, you are better off using DeoxIT, silicone-based or automotive grease. You can get DeoxIt from polkiuj here and a pretty good grade of silicone grease from Philightsophy here. You can also get most of the grease online which are linked in this post here, post #1 put together by Tekno_Cowboy. |

Just received some IMR bulbs from Philightsophy... there are some lumen goodness...
![]() Host is Seraph SP-9, 2 x AW IMR18500. SureFire P91 and LumensFactory IMR-9 is using standard D26 head, while LumensFactory IMR-9L is using D36 Mini-Turbo head. Despite what some cpfers experienced, the IMR-9 is actually as bright as P91. SureFire P91 beam is whiter compare to both Lumens Factory bulbs. IMR-9L on D36 Mini-Turbo head does not throw further, it's just brighter and floodier. |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Jan 17 2010, 12:30 AM) Rookie, you need to lock your camera settings. In your pics the IMR-9 is brighter than the IMR-9L!!!! Hehe! the camera settings are locked... this might be due to image format conversion and dithering with gif. Let's try another, this time in JPEG. ![]() not just the hot spot, look at the surrounding. The IMR-9L in D36 head is not throwy, it's very floody. let's make a date to test it outdoor, polkiuj, bring your P91 along ya. pseudoblue, are you in? anyone with any incan setup would like to do some comparison? [EDIT]: i think i will use 2 x IMR 18650 when we meet as the voltage sag is lesser in this setup. [EDIT 2]: i just refresh the whole page and notice the converted gif looks really really ugly... QUOTE(polkiuj @ Jan 17 2010, 02:29 AM) how about shooting the room lit with the light on ceiling bounce with topped up batts. That would be great comparison. Put the original or resized JPGs then can easily compare with histograms (not 4in1 pics =D) Great idea! But I will need help with the histogram thingy. |

QUOTE(hoongern @ Jan 17 2010, 11:02 AM) I already have my IMR-9, plus D26/TL-3 (Pretty good throw!), but am STILL waiting for the D26 WA1111 [on 2xIMR18500] / WA1185 [on 3x IMR16340] to arrive (there was a mix up back in December and Fivemega only just mailed it off a couple days ago - hopefully will arrive within 2 weeks) - but I have been really wanting to see the P91 in action. cool... been wanting to see the WA1111 and WA1185 myself too. |

QUOTE(hoongern @ Jan 19 2010, 11:49 PM) Oh NO! Unfortunately, my setup may not be ready :'( my-oh-my... glad that you are OK. join us for the gathering, we can do some experiments with the different modules. ACE h/w is selling some springs pack in different sizes and plating that you may wanna to take a look. I will also bring along a tube of OX-Gard for the gathering.I just experienced a short circuit, and my IMR18500 cells died, along with my twisty tailcap and D26 T1.5 module springs http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=257976 Lesson: Do NOT underestimate how powerful IMR cells can be - exercise caution! And remove your batteries before changing P60 drop-ins, and check that the spring is straight before putting them back in! |
