I heard that the Desire supports 720p recording but didn make it to the final firmware. They say maybe future updates will support it .

The desire video is a bit suspicious though IMO. Desire does records higher resolution videos right? (Correct me if wrong)
Maybe that guy was some iPhone fanatic or something to make the iPhone look better

All in all , just my opinions la . Wait for the final product to be released then we'll know

iphone 3gs camera is indeed not bad and can on par with higher megapixel..even me also satisfy with iphone 3g 2mp camera..

but i heard if u know how to tweak the setting for htc desire then u wil lget better quality

iphone camera is sucks.. but recording is good..

htc phone camera is much better.. but recording sucks.. bcaz got skipped frame, such high powerful device, but sometimes will have skipped frame.
n a bit choppy.. well iphone recording is smooth (because lower resolution also larh.)

Guys , how bout games ? Is the amount of games same with iphone ?
As we know iphone is pretty popular with tons of games.

since apple popular for the game.. htc shudnt be fighting for it and wasting resources right?

get another selling point (a lots more than iphone actually) is much better way out..

Games currently on android are not as nice as the Iphones but everyday there's a developer out there trying to bring out Android's full potential. There are alr a few games not bad but not as nice as Iphones..
If you wanna play games more than using it as a smartphone then go get Iphone.

As for the Video Camera settings,
you can tweak 4 resolutions..
WGVA (800x480)
VGA (640x480)
CIF (352x288)
QVGA (320x240)

Encoding type h.263 and mpeg4

EDIT: If you guys are wondering about the video of the HTC Desire, i could take some samples and show you.. I havn't even tested it myself

hmm, wondering do lowering the resolution will have better recording. but iphone is natively support those vga recording.

but htc desire is juz all depend on software encoding than hardware i think.. well, lets see if u could post up some sample video to help us judge.
