HTC Desire is oso using a Snapdragon prcessor....basically everything is same between HTC Desire and N1 besides the following:

1) 576 ram on Desire vs 512 ram on N1
2) Single mic without noice cancellation on Desire vs dual mic with noice cancellation on N1
3) Sense UI on Desire vs native android on N1

besides this...everything else is same on HW n SW...even nw Desire is manage to hv voice to text n voice search without rooting

I read from some reviews they mention the difference on da speaker phone is not so significant between N1 n Desire....but to me i hardly use speaker phone....so dont think it will be a big drawback for me

so when choosing between nexus one and desire its actually

nexus one for call quality
desire for that extra juice for programs

or is there any other differences ?

another thing is, since nexus one is already here with local warranty, how come i should wait for desire ??

common guys tell me and make me wait with u guys tongue.gif

considering there's no official warranty support locally for N1...i would said Desire is better cos to me i will need more ram to run programs n i dont need to talk on speaker phone.....

but it still depends on ur needs....if u prefer the native vanilla android interface over sense then get N1...

What Htc Desire has that N1 doesn't...
-HTC SENSE
-Extra ram
-More Physical buttons! (Home, Menu, back and search)
-optical trackball! (some still prefer the old one)
-Desire also can be like N1(i install some features that N1 has to my Desire... whistling.gif )
eg. N1's gallery, N1's launcher(5 homescreens), N1's voice search and voice to text... brows.gif
-all the nice HTC Widgets..

What N1 has that Desire don't...
just a few things i know, don't have N1 so not sure...

i've been a windows mobile user for the past 3 years or so... have never use android so i still don't know what kind of difference to expect between sense ui and vanilla

oh how could i forget abt da physical button n optical trackpad on Desire....tbh...physical button is way better than those on N1...user reporting that da touch sensitive button on n1 is not very responsive...trackball is nice especially on the lighting effects for notifications...but trackball does hv wear n tear issue n will become less responsive over time....

as far as i know there is no official warranty support for N1 locally...correct me if i'm wrong

yeap...tt's wat i mean bro..

regarding da physical n touch sensitive button i cud confirm on it...no matter how responsive da touch sensitive button out of da box it won't be as responsive over time...as this is y ppl would like a physical kb over a touch screen kb

actually i'm oso exciting over this desire but thinking google will hv a conference next month n wonder if android 2.2 will be announced...plus i'm pretty sure htc will make a gsm version for da 4g evo....i might b wrong but somehow i hv faith wif this....like previously they hv a 4g wimax phone for Russian then after 6 months they come out wif htc touch hd wif a slight change in physical design

hihihehe

lol..what htc desire can do then n1 also can do in term of software..same for the other way round..
sense ui? n1 can have it by root..n1 will support wireless N soon...mayb this is not important but some ppl with wireless N router will be happy
n1 will have faster update than htc desire(well thats for sure)
htc desire has more RAM but mayb is bcoz it needed for sense ui?
u can engrave ur word on N1 but not on htc desire? lol who cares except u buy to someone special for u brows.gif
1 with extra Google word on the handset which attract many google fans... tongue.gif

both phone also great..but htc desire is newer than n1..

1 more thing.. N1 got 2nd mic for noise cancellation. i tot it really will improve by a lot..

but apparently from review, both with o without 2nd mic for noise cancellation perform the same.. rclxms.gif
