Where got increase price one lar hahaha... although there are events where price really increase but its rare. So you wanna take the risk meh. The best time to earn is to bring in a phone that is not available yet like few weeks ago and then sell it at an expensive price. Examples are like iPhone 3G during its early days, iPAD, etc. Those small time online traders really make a quick buck.

I'm looking to buy the Desire. Is it AP not so good as from SIS? Or is it just the warranty issue? I see alot of people hesitate to buy AP set, is it because for now AP is selling much expensive than when it is officially available from SIS?

I really don't know should buy AP set or not. Confuse.

It is warranty issue only. Yes, everyone is waiting for the SIS price to release as many of us hope that the SIS price will be around 2.2 ~ 2.3k....

There isn't much difference between AP or SIS. Both are original equipment. The AP ones may differ in the regional settings. Basically modern phones are pretty reliable now. You usually see problems that are obvious in the first few days. But still there is always a risk no matter how small.

In the case of Desire, a lot of people is restraining from getting AP because we are anticipating a very competitive price from SIS. Also AP price is showing signs of fluctuation. Notice that AP price was RM23xx-2600 two weeks ago. Now price has come down to RM20xx-21xx.

Lets say if you were to buy AP now at RM2100 and original SIS set finally release and sell at RM22xx-24xx. You might regret because a few hundreds you could have get an original unit. If original SIS set sells at RM24xx-26xx, then you may feel lucky because you got a good deal. The probability in the above 2 scenarios are 50/50. Either way, if you wait it out... you sure won't lose. Maybe lose initial bragging hehehehe or potentially another new product release. Still money in your pocket and safe.

Assuming original SIS set sells at RM22xx. AP price (at this moment RM2100) will not hold for long. It will definitely reduce unless original SIS set stock is very very low so AP traders can play ball with potential buyers. If stock not an issue, they may have to reduce price to attract purchase. Maybe RM18xx?

We see this trend with Motorola Milestone. We also speculated the above scenarios. So better wait it out. After all, we've come so far waiting... 1-2 weeks doesn't make a difference. If you need a quick fix and have filthy cash hehehe... then buy some other phone first lor hahahaha
