It is a good phone which have almost all in one function. Like it a lot. But downside is without turn by turn navigation. Also no access to android market. Really need to consider whether wanna go for android or keep stick to w.m.~~

So, can we say that in hardware desire which have higher ram and optical scroll is better. While software or application nexus 1 is better cause they always get the latest update from google while desire need to wait for htc developer? (If they do the update)

Since N1 can root with other rom to have sense UI, is it possible for desire to root with so other rom which similar to N1 so that it can get the latest update like N1 from google update?

QUOTE(linkinawe @ Apr 30 2010, 01:22 PM) for whatever phones , the price will eventually drop one .. because new technology come out . Try to compare 5800 with Desire , this maybe rude but I have to say 5800 is crap comparing to Desire ... So laters on , when a new phone come out , example Desire X2 , then Desire is lame than Desire X2 , price will drop ... this theory apply to computer hardware too , or whatever that is related with "technoloy" . When a newer one come out , the old one will sure drop price ... but for people , most of the people still want the newer one ! let say you want Desire for Rm2.3k , later on , Htc say Evo 4G is available for GSM , Desire drop to Rm1.8k , Evo 4G is Rm2.3k . Under whatever phone you get, the price you paying is still Rm2.3k ... So what I mean is , you are waiting Desire to drop price .. What if another great phone release out ? With extraordinary features which cant be found in Desire , Do you still want Desire ? Then at tat time , you wait for the price of new phone to drop again ? then you keep waiting forever .... Most of the people chasing the trend I think what Davidmak means is the price is high due to the demand and over enthusiasm of the buyer. When the SIS phone release the price will drop back to its real market value~~not waiting for the phone price to drop~~PS: I said you wait for the price , just an example , no offence |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ May 3 2010, 03:06 PM) i tried to disable data for my iphone but it cannot be done..some says maxis makes ur device cannot disable the data..im not sure But i think i dont have problem on doing that with the nokia i m using since i can switch to gsm or umts only plus can switch off the wifi scanning. No such function in desire? Any current desire user can answer that? I still prefer to have the data plan, just dun need it to on all the time to save the battery life...Added on May 3, 2010, 3:07 pmn 1 thing, u can call ur telco(maxis, digi, etc) to disable the data if u dun plan to use data (i m a maxis user) This post has been edited by draco82: May 3 2010, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(bbdannylim @ May 11 2010, 03:07 PM) Hi everyone, It is warranty issue only. Yes, everyone is waiting for the SIS price to release as many of us hope that the SIS price will be around 2.2 ~ 2.3k.... I'm looking to buy the Desire. Is it AP not so good as from SIS? Or is it just the warranty issue? I see alot of people hesitate to buy AP set, is it because for now AP is selling much expensive than when it is officially available from SIS? I really don't know should buy AP set or not. Confuse. |
