i for one votes for sticking to the last match's line up. except for the change of brana. against united, we have to be tight at the back. looks like rooney is injured, sounds like good news for us.

Agree with the 4-3-3.
Rooney injured. But not yet confirm whether will he miss our match.
I am betting with one of my friend who are MU fans, he said if Chelsea lose,I will shut my mouth, but if Chelsea win, he will shut his mouth LOL

So come on Chelsea!

rooney injured .... still no concrete answer from <saf> unsure.gif nevertheless we must ensure our team in tip top condition and definitely will be tight match, bet on we beat red devils with 1-0 whistling.gif cool2.gif

for this game, the scoreline doesnt really matter, if we dont win this game, united will lead by 4 points which require them to lose two games not within our control. therefore in order for us to actually have a chance to win the title this season. it boils down to this very game, at old trafford. i dont care how the ball is put into the net, i just want the boys to bring home 3 points.

i would prefer

big pete
brana - alex - JT - yuri
deco - mikel - lampsy
joey - nico - flomo

it still depends on how we want to approach the game. long balls is a definite no no. vidic has too much experience in handling drogba by now and he win almost all the long balls. keep it tight at the back and hold possession.

a draw isnt good enough now.

rooney out is good news for us, but i do feel sorry for him. saw the pic of him turning his ankle, and it does look painful sweat.gif as i've experienced something similar before during futsal. a slight misstep, and suddenly you're injured without anybody touching u. they still have berbatov, who could score for fun on his day. terry and co need to be on their toes during those setpieces.

i do like your attacking lineup, but i think ferreira keeping his place might be a possibility. he was fairly solid up against ashley young, who's just as good if not even better than nani/valencia. there's a chance deco could be replaced in favour of ballack though if carlo decides to keep it tight. and of course the big decision between didier or nico leading the line. hmm.gif

fair point about vidic getting the measure of didier. if that happens and he's the lone striker, it might just turn into a long ball fiasco which we don't want.

it doesn't matter whether Rooney will be fielded this sat or not.....Chelsea must play well as last weekend or double up their performance at OT....my preferred line-up will catch up soon here...

if paulo was solid and he maintains his performance, yes, then he should be starting, i dont think brana should be risked playing rushing him into the game. keeping the same squad for the game would be very good i think. yes, the only big decision would be dd or nico leading the attack.

dd can score goals from less than perfect service but he rarely assist or go out, very predictable.

nico has a goal draught but he is more unpredictable, you never know when he is passing or shooting. against united, i'd go for nico to start, maybe bring in dd for a tactical switch if things dont look good.

rooney might not play this weekend?

or its just some april fool strategy ..

i know we shudnt be too scared of rooney, but i wont deny that he's a huge threat.

Whether or not Rooney plays is not that important IMO, as long as our boys play well and get all 3 points! Good news is that Iva seems to be making headway in his injury battle, so let's hope he'll back for the crunch game @ OT.

I prefer both teams come up with their best eleven for this match.
It will bee more interesting & no one can dispute if we win that match

dont happy yet for rooney injury. even up until now, there are no official statement saying he will be out that long. its almost a day now since yesterday match, and yet still no news?? isn't it a bit weird. they have top class medical staff that cant diagnose what happen to rooney?? totally ridiculous. IMO, i felt that this is another "suprise" agenda. a good mind game.

there is no such thing as fielding the strongest eleven from a squad, players get injured and thats part of the game. we are without Micheal Essien, Jose Bosingwa and Ashley Cole. there is nothing wrong about feeling good going against united without rooney.

i hope our players dont take this for granted as united is a team with players that will step up when another doesnt. put up another villa performance and we're good to go.
