I think we are going to cycle down this time around. A lot more negative news in the market now than anticipated.
Let see if we can pull back to 10500 or S&P 1025 and if so, just buy some at that level. Added on January 13, 2010, 11:48 pmAs for GOOG, It is a no win situation for them, therefore, they have to abandon the plan for now. Their core ideals back at home office in conflict with their business plan in China. If they need to succeed, they must play the Chinese chess, and align themselves with dictatorial China perhaps under a different company name altogether. They have play with the evil dictator because the freedom of expression and thoughts does not exist in China. Same goes for any other companies that wish to play in China. For example: YHOO, they've been there and they knew it, and they regretted what they did but can't help it. China forced their hands. Can't escape the facist capitalist govt for now. One has to be evil and control all information to play in China. Closing update: Dow 10680.77 +53.51 +0.50% Nasdaq 2307.90 +25.59 +1.12% S&P 500 1145.68 +9.46 +0.83% Whoa! This market isn't giving the bears any chance of a decent pullback yet. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Jan 14 2010, 06:11 AM |

QUOTE(wlcling @ Jan 14 2010, 10:12 PM) Buy high, becomes bag holder. Anyway, it will start to pullback soon for people to jump it. We got worse than expected retail data, worse than expected initial claims.. Oil going lower with better weather and higher inventory. This gotta to pullback. Investors at this level will want to take some off for profits. |

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Jan 16 2010, 12:39 AM) nah, not really down. 8 session, 2 down (small), only today more than 100 points. Gosh..I wasn't even aware I teleported into future. LOL! DMC got magic, he went to the future and predict : Closing Update Dow 10610.55 +29.78 +0.28% (DMC's update ....) Damn. I could have shorted big time. Anyway, I think we got a gift today if some of you wanted to get in during the pullback. Look at the banks: JPM, C, BAC, WFC all are pulling back. I guess I'm right on the ball on Energy. I would like to see Oil drops to 75 and then I'll go back into ERX. We may need two more or days like this. Closing update (5:20am) Dow 10609.65 -100.90 -0.94% Nasdaq 2287.99 -28.75 -1.24% S&P 500 1136.03 -12.43 -1.08% Ahh nice.. a 3 digit pullback. Oh well. that's a start. Hopefully, we 'll get more next Tuesday evening when the market resumes. Monday evening I'm off too. My call center celebrating US MLK holiday as well.. TCK?? ERX - ready to buy some when Oil near $75/$76 FUQI - nothing for now, will watch Gold price. TCK - holding a HUGE load, I need to lighten up when we get to 41. QUOTE(motolola @ Jan 20 2010, 10:12 PM) wah this cramer is unbelievable At times, I watch Cramer show.. very funny. In September 28, 2009, Cramer told subscribers to buy CIT. One month later the company went bankrupt. In this speech, Cramer recommended 10 stocks and went on to say "I wouldn't own any other stocks in the year 2000". By 2009, all of the mentioned companies have either gone out of business, have been taken over by competitors or trade at fractions of their 2000 stock price. etc etc Market professionals consider Cramer one of the most reliable contrarian indicators in the business. thanks for the humor sulifeisgreat Just trade against his recommendation the next day. His followers buy the stock, you sell it high or short to make money. |

Look at that. Goldman Sachs earned almost $4.79 billion in revenue last quarter and for the full year 13.4 billion.
Can anyone name any Malaysian banks that can beat that revenue? Perhaps even the combine of all of them? |

QUOTE(Executioner @ Jan 22 2010, 12:10 AM) hi Just go to any of your fav. online broker used by many here and check 'em out one by one, which ever ones fits your needs.was interested in trade apple stock 2 yrs back before iphone 3gs made the stock go up wildly. now with islate its happening all over again. i missed the boat twice due to dont know how to open account and trade US stocks in time. any quick recommendations, also is there any US tax for profits etc? I have TD Ameritrade, E-Trade and ScottTrade. I like TD-Ameritrade the best. No tax for Capital Gains for Foreigners but hefty tax for Dividends payment. Just don't go for Dividends paying stocks but re-investment dividends are ok. |
