To current AW Users:

Should we run the 'Stealth Mode' while on battery power? Lets say we happen to be travelling and have the notebook with us but without a power socket in site, and we need to surf but make the 9cell last longer...

from FindingScreemo's experience,

Is it only safe to use StealthMode till batt is weak instead of critical before pluggin in power?  hmm.gif
*
you CAN'T enable the 'stealth mode' on batteries.
weird BUT true. you need the power supply plugged in to save power consumption. hmm.gif

the bag was nice but the design is too plain for me. i prefer sumthin more stylish like razer sling bag or shoulder version. anyway, i'll wait for the laptop and try it first if it suits me. if not, juz wait for my [WTS] tag.  tongue.gif

checked my order status & it says "work in progress".  sad.gif
PO number is the customer number who purchase during pc fair right? so if 0004 means i'm customer number 4?
sigh... somehow i regret for not buying studio xps instead.  doh.gif

anyway, i forgot to ask the salesman before. isit possible to change the WLED to RGBLED?  icon_question.gif
*
Your 'sigh' is cuz you got the M15x, and not the studio xps? I suggest you take back the sigh. I wanted the studio xps too at first, but hey, the Studio XPS is not any better. Eventhough Alienware is part of Dell Corp. atm, but it's still Alienware and Dell. So make your choice. hmm.gif

Razer Shoulder doesn't really hold the M15x well. I would say it's abit stuffed, with not much additional space for other stuff. Get a better bag, or rather bigger bag. I would suggest the Alienware Orion Msgr or Backpack. I'm using the Razer Shoulder, and trust me, it'll fit just nice. Nothing more, nothing less. Check out my blog. Pictures there showing how the M15x fits into the Razer Shoulder bag. Cheers mate! cool2.gif

i like the interior design of alienware, but dun quite prefer its case, is like too plain and the alien head, haiz, why dont dell come out with design like asus g51vx and g60j, more cool
*
I disagree with you. The Asus gaming series are wayyyyyyy to sporty, and fullstop. The alienware new lineup, is sporty with a touch of class. Talking about killing 2 birds with 1 stone. And besides, many wouldn't fancy the over-sporty look with the g51vx or the g60j, especially corporate or the more matured target. If the Alienware is build to like those two, it wouldn't be Alienware, and I wouldn't get Alienware too. Falcon Northwest gives killer sporty design if you're into the Asus gaming outlooks. Just my 2c though. smile.gif

hmm.. if not mistaken the razer shoulder bag got a strap to to hold the laptop position rite? the picture u posted at ur blog doesnt show u using it. does it mean u cant strap it?

i wish i could get my hands on orion but the price is out of my budget.  sweat.gif
*
Yea, there's a zap on thingy to hold the laptop in place. To put the M15x, you gotta 'overwork' the strap if you know what i mean. lol

when is the era of general Alienware will rise back?
i can't talk much about M15x since we are very different in term of hardwares sweat.gif
*
You're in the land of "revenge of the fallen"... its up to you bring the 'fallen' (M17x) back to life. hahaha. kidding bro.
It seems like the M15x is getting more mainstream, and more sales for sure. The sizing and the weight I guess. blush.gif

For me its the price which is the main call, and then weight and size. If we all had the though, we'd prolly have a M15x to bring around and a M17x at home tongue.gif... jkjk..... xD

Well, I tried to get the M17x, But with the budget I had, I could hardly afford a good CPU to couple with an SLI GPU.... :/
*
We're the other way round. I wanted the M17x, but seems like it's overkill for me, the specs and the weight. lol

Must be you guys, keep bugging them till they think i'm an Alien geek. tongue.gif

Will let you guys know bout the quality of the headset here once I get it. smile.gif
