QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Dec 7 2009, 03:41 AM) I'm having the 9 cells. Fully charged, 1 hour 15mins. But don't trust the battery meter. It goes off faster than that. I'm using my WITHOUT the battery. And I noticed if you're running it on the battery alone, the performance will be throttled, quit badly. |

Erm, what I did was used the battery till the battery's life at about 40%, I plugged in power, and the whole machine lagged like there's no tomorrow. CPU usage was about 80%, with nothing, well, not that I know running. Can't even watch mkv movies. Have to restart. lol

QUOTE(amunriel @ Dec 7 2009, 12:01 PM) P95 ( Proc ) + Furmark ( GC ) test monitor the clock freq using GPU-Z Results : http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=439546 And apparently under full load while lowering the brightness helps in increasing the performance. However, none of the games out will really push your system up to full load unless you do hardcore CAD. If you gonna do hardcore CAD, get Precision Covet instead. That's why this is a gaming laptop. |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Dec 8 2009, 01:29 AM) I think Anything above 40Fps is B Rating which is more than enough. I heard some people say PS3 gives out about 30+ FPS which is smooth enough but I can't confirm the validity. If M15x can play these games at those fps, I'm more than happy with its performance. I think it's safer to say, all games are playable at respectable but not maxed out settings. Crysis Warhead for example, I played it at Gamers setting or Medium if you prefer, with 2x AA. Even it's not maxed out, it still looks good and most importantly smooth. A bit spiky if the settings are maxed out. Having said so, CoD MW II and such games doesn't really need an owning GPU to play at full settings. I was told at a booth in PC-Fair that they sell the ori version for RM130. Is it around that price if bought outside? Here's a summary of games I tried so far on my gtx 260m gpu, i7 720qm proc, 4gb ddr3. Crysis Warhead - Gamer settings CoD MW II - All high Prototype - All high (laggy during in game movie clips, any ideas why?) NFS Shift Gtx 260m should be able to handle those games at those settings without any problems. As for Crysis Warhead, it CAN be maxed out but at certain scenes, the fp/s dropped for some obvious reason. Sorry that I'm too lazy to post the average fps for each game. But you should roughly know how the card will perform. |

QUOTE(unclegoldfish @ Dec 11 2009, 12:55 AM) Hey guys..I found that my aw laptop touch pad is not jerky anymore... I was away for 48 hours or so, invited to a HP Product Launching event in KL. Yup, HP!! Kinda exclusive event with the HP GM of Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia OEM Director there as well. Got loads of freebies like backpacks, umbrellas,t shirts and so on. And tried out all of their laptops and pc there. the touch pad by HP = IMBA. lol. its much better than AW's. Just sharing my thoughts though. I feel guilty now. Attended the event, but hey, it's free!As we discuss b4 it is jerky... |
