Any specific models in mind? : nikon 300s, canon 7d (hardly to choose)

For sport, I think the Canon's new AF would do you good, but Nikon's is already very good. No idea cause I haven't played with the 7D yet (haven't got my hands on one).

Canon having 18MP might drag the quality down as ISO processing, even with the dual processors, might be a little ... don't know how to describe this. XD

Down to the point, I think the decision solely lies in your hands - both these cameras are worthy fighters. I'm sure you won't regret going for either.
