wondering wats the best compact camera in market now, in terms of user frenly, enough zoom power like 20-200mm, good image quality. personally am using DSLR, tis compact is to buy for my parents.

Nikon Coolpix S630, focal length 37-260mm in 35mm equivalent, 7x zoom
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10, focal length 25-300mm in 35mm equivalent, 12x zoom
Fujifilm Finepix F70EXR, focal length 27 - 270mm in 35mm equivalent, 10x zoom
G11 about RM1800 but it has a 4x zoom... and bcoz of the small focal length it produce great image quality

up to u whether u like canon, or nikon or sony...
u ask me as a canon fanboys i would say canon
go to any camera shop molest kaw kaw...

I saw in Jusco, there is selling EOS 450D for RM2200 if i not mistaken. For EOS500D, RM3000 is just the body or with kit lense? I saw in Jusco, there were selling for RM3399.00 for EOS 500D.

Olympus fe-4010 + 4gb SD+ free gift=RM600(original RM699 with 8gb SD)

i'm considering the olympus fe-4010 because of the design and the wide angle feature but according to reviews on the net,most of them didn't like it.so,really need your help!thanks.

i think if u wan to find 2nd hand lens is a bit hard... coz mostly all of them consist of canon or nikon...

go for 450D and u will have extra money to buy another 50mm F1.8 but it is a discontinued model...
search for it b4 its finish or go for 1000D... but 1000D has been out for a while now waiting for its replacement...
500D is RM3000

many say nikon produce the lowest noise...

of course it has bad review coz olympus noise control is not very good... i personally use it in my office and compared with my IXUS, the gap is
but if u really concern on the wide angle then i will suggest u to take it coz wide really can capture more...

Canon 1000D, 30D, 450D, EOS 500D

If you have experience with Nikon D3000, how does it compare to the Canon models above? ...

What i am looking for is actually something versatile, sharp & vibrant shots, something that can take good night shots as i think if it can take good night shots, it surely can take good daylight shots, please correct me if i'm wrong on that, and yes i am a night person >< and of course later i will pair it will better lenses.

p.s Sorry, I had to ask here, the useless pinned thread the moderators point us to is not getting enough response, in fact almost every pinned thread in LYN wont get as much response as a new/existing thread, and after years they still dont seem to realize that

i agree with that.. but if u want a 'slightly' even better noise control.. pentax k-x might be ur thing
