good photos are mostly depending on your skill u cant always depend 100% on the camera. Even phone camera can take amazing photos but up to a certain extend only

if give to you also no use.. this is not a constructive comment.. you could ask them buy rm300 camera instead

for @sempronic - create a table of the threa camera you want side by side, list out its spec, cons and pros that you know...

after that go to the shop and try each one of them.. find which one suits your hand the best... which one have the button/menu placement that you like.. and go buy it

=.= depends on an individual la different people buy camera for different purpose ma some buy for the sake of trend some buy for their interest in photohgraphy and some for works and etc. No matter what they choose its up to that individual ma.

camera phone is for me where places DSLR cant go. Places DSLR can make its best ill bring DSLR to meet the location requirement.

Those professional DSLR also useless for me cant afford so many commitment that might lead after u enter the professional dSLR world.

hi there! just want to have some opinions...

should i get EOS 550D 18-135 at ~RM3600 or should i get EOS 60D 18-55 at <RM3600 then buy another zoom lense later, or >RM4000 for EOS 60D 18-135?

this will be my first DSLR and my budget is below RM4k... im afraid that if i get 60D i couldnt handle it... and im not sure 18-55 is sufficient for me or good for normal use or not, coz i feel that the zoom range for 18-135 in 550D is quite good for me...

sorry if i confuse u all, coz im also confused which is better to buy...hehee...

thanks..

Hey guys looking for a point and shoot camera or a prosumer camera that is compact in size and sleek as well as reasonable in the photo quality. Don't need to be superb like dslr function and feature but better than the normal digital camera.

My dilemma is that im lazy to lug around a dslr for normal casual snapping, but sometime the point and shoot cameras is kinda too low in term of picture quality. So any recommendation in between them would be helpful. Oh yeah price range of below 2k would also help notworthy.gif

just curious, since the EOS 550D body price has dropped to ~RM2.2k, would the kit price drop too after the EOS 60D reached the store? if it will drop then i will hold first then wait for the price drop... really hope that the kit price will drop...heheee biggrin.gif

I'm still beginner..Probably assortment of photos. Portrait, landscape and some sports I think..

550D is it much superior to 30D? I get this a lot: Difference in 5 years of technology is like between heaven and earth.

Not sure how true is that though..I'm student on budget, so just looking for a good camera that will last me for like 3-5 years..

if you are really on budget, maybe you can consider sony's DSLR. they are considerably cheaper than canon & nikon.
