Awesome camera for those who don't wana go pro. Easy to use and can really take nice photos

I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants control over their camera,ease of use,accessibility to various settings like ISO,shutter speed and aperture

But if one doesn't bother with those stuff, and would go Auto all the time, by all means, NEX series is for you

Personally, i didn't like it at all.Very very hard to use.

a33 then
able to hit high ISO with low noise means good for low light condition, eg indoor
in body stabilization and able to utilize most of the a-mount lens with AF without problem

Ok. Thanks for the feedback. Was reading some reviews online that said the same thing. Just gona go for a proper DSLR not a micro one.

is that good enough for 2nd unit Canon EOS 1000D with 18-55mm price RM1200 age of item around 1 year 7month i think, or should go for the new one instead..how much for the new one?

Guys I'm down with couple of options here,

My sis has a 40D and she's not into photography.

First option:

Buy a D3000 and swap with her 40D, buy a sigma 18-70mm 2.8-4. = RM~3k

Second option:

Wait for a560, get the body end of this year, and buy sigma 18-70mm 2.8-4 = RM4k++

Or

Get a550 body and siggy. RM3.5k~~

My concern is, can the 40D still perform? As I hope not to spend so much because I still wanna buy 50mm, grip etc.

Please give me some suggestion guys! I thank you in advance.

A brand new 1000D is RM1200 body onlywhereas a body+kit is around RM1500 but i'm not too sure about D3000 though

For me i'd always rather go for a brand new unit as i want everything to be new, no scratches,no marks,no smell and with warranty!Especially Canon's 3 years warranty Unless, you don't mind all those,then by all means,go for the 2nd hand if the deal is good

You won't go wrong from choosing either brands as both are extremely good.Do also check out the camera itself and try feeling it in your hands.Which feels nicer?Which you could see yourself using,like you said,for a long term?If you still can't decide, do find out whether you have friends using DSLR?Sometimes, it's better to follow the same brand as theirs as you guys can share tips,especially lenses , accessories.

so, the E-620 was introduced to me by some shopkeeper.. the price was very good.. he even demo-ed it to me how the camera works, it looks pretty good and really makes me interested.. but i see not many ppl uses olympus, so i wonder why? anything the shopkeeper not telling me?

and before anything.. i know the 500D and 550D is around 2.3k+ and 2.7k+ with kit lens respectively and above my budget.. but if its really worth the money, i would go for it.. currently i think its too overpriced.. maybe im wrong, so pls help me with this..

and the pentax, ive nver seen it.. just heard it from a review.. some insight would be helpful.. and the price too if can..

any suggestions besides G11..?? G11 is quite pricey..

Clearly NEX5 or you can even take NEX3

1. SENSOR of the NEX is way bigger (30% +- actually) compared to micro 4/3
2. It is way Smaller compared to GF-1
3. It has better ISO handling (lower noise) compared to GF-1
4. Better Bokeh (Blur out photography)
5. It has sweep Panorama and Hand Held Twilight (2 of this I found dem cun!!!)
6. It has Full HD recording 1080i @ 60 fps or 1080p at 30fps (With smooth quiet autofocus)
7. It has Awesome BIG super clear LCD (I have not seen a cammie with this clear LCD before)
8. It is so small that you can keep in a ladies handbag without notice it
9. It uses SDHC and Memory Stick card (so cheap memory card is an option) / GF-1 uses SD too...
10. Sony support NEX with alot of free training and class (if you re @ KL/PG and Kuching)
